I dunno know who schedule's the NRL broadcast games for 9 but they sure do them no favours. No Sydney team in last nights game while tonight they've got Penrith V Melbourne while the rounds best game by far is on Fox Saturday Roosters V Eels. Surely it should have been on 9 either Thurs or Friday to maximise numbers.

Ouch. More people in Melbourne watched the AFL than all 5 major cities combined watched the NRL. Ch9 must be thrilled

That is pretty amazing. One city beating the whole of the nrl in 5 major cities.

Afl have GWS v Bulldogs .... so afl not doing too much better and have lions playing Saturday at the same time as another game... Geelong v Blues I think. You’d think if they wanted to maximise ratings in qld they’d play lions and suns in isolation.. I mean, I’ll watch the Suns okay but if it’s a choice between them and the pies I’ll watch the pies.

The AFL won the ratings again last night with the giants vs bulldogs, 2 of the AFL's least supported clubs. This is the sort of matchup that would rate far lower on a Saturday, but primarily because of the time slot and against a competing AFL match. I wonder what excuse pussycat will use this time?

NRL
Panthers v Storm 801,000
Nine Metro 347,000 Regional 220,000
Fox League 234,000

AFL
Dogs v Giants 982,000
Seven Metro 555,000 Regional 196,000
Fox Footy 231,000

but but what? Again there's proof that AFL rates as well or better than NRL on foxtel, despite less subs in AFL states, when games are shown 1 v 1.

People are watching one or the other. how farking hard for you is it to understand that.? Subs , Sub, subs - is this your new but but excuse

AFL 4 matches = 762k, Avg 190.5k
NRL 3 matches = 797k , AVG 265k

???????????????????????????????????????????

'AFL rates as well or better than NRL on foxtel' ............... The Victorian Education System has a lot to answer for

thanks for making my point! :(/

At 7,30pm people are watching 1 OR the other, they cant watch both. Therefore the audience for both 7.30 games are reduced by the opposing game. So it should be:
AFL 3 matches = 762k, Avg 254k
NRL 3 matches = 797k , AVG 265k
