Comparing the two club competitions is completely unfair and I had every right to bring it up.

As the NZ warriors ratings will, most likely, never be known I think its only fair that our average reflects that. 7.5 matches per week not 8.

But as for the total rating, we have no need to whinge or whine. We're winners ! and will go on winning gold medals just as we do every year!
You really do not understand averages do you ?

I don't know if it's funnier Fred,
But,
Without a verbal explanation, several examples and possibly a week's course and a tattoo on his arm.
Puss will never understand that formular.
Its sheer technicality is at grade 5 level.

But you're right, it was a witty retort by his standards.
Credit where credits due.

When you were in grade 5 did they explain to you that you cant average Apples and Oranges? FTA matches get 2 or 3 times the ratings that a PTV match gets.

Both rounds may have 8 matches in them. But the one that has more FTA is advantaged in both average and total.

Well technically you can

You have 2 buckets filled with apples and oranges
Bucket no 1 has 20 apples and 10 oranges
Bucket no 2 has 10 apples and 20 oranges

On average how many pieces of each fruit are in 1 bucket

15..........

But I understand, it should be like for like and not just including your best attraction, which is not like for like, to get over the line.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
Rugby league, Australias most popular game in some of North Eastern Australia.

The SOO Period, Goes around every year> and causes the same Halo effect each year..

it
is
time
the
NRL
Commission

(Put SOO to a Standalone 3 week Period)

so it has little effect to the NRL Premiership season

no regionals reported for the AFL yet either.

and also missed the Carlton v Melbourne game on Fox - 159,000.
that was a FOX Exclusive>
i am pretty sure.
was only measuring the FTA game against FTA Game.

that could be 3 games to the NRL 1 games..

any reason why Regional data is sometimes delayed ?

It’s games not teams ... and those games are still being shown in Australia.

So if you want to know the average ratings per game across Australia you are dividing total rating in Australia by numbers of games shown in Australia. If you want to show the overall ratings across both Australia and New Zealand you would total up the ratings and divide by number of games. It’s a little more trickier than that but that’s the gist to keep it simpler. The issues can be live v delayed .... number of outlets.. Fox, fta crosses sectioned with market ( nz May only show 3 games, south Australia may get less games than say vic etc). So we are probably needing some more detailed analysis for inferential statistics ... maybe an ANOVA or even a multi variate ANOVA? Been a while since I interpreted one of those... longer since I did one lol.

you just had 4 games come in at a toal 43,000 mate - the AFL had a record 5 matches reach 50,000 in a single weekend. I wouldnt talk about nobody being in the stands if I were you - especially after less than 6,000 turned up for a game.
You talking about gws game?
