Excuse after excuse, bullshit, bullshit and more excuses ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)
Says the guy who made excuses about the last 1/3rd of an AFL game

Tell me, which part of my post do you think is wrong and more importantly, why?

Are you denying the NRL get just as much FTA game time in isolation as the AFL?

Are you denying that Perth only get 13% more FTA games with some being on delay?

What is bullshit other than your intellect?

Hold on Hold on...

Cowboys rate great on FTA> in QLD

That cowboys v Broncos game>> was a hammering>> and regional audience was lower than usual.
Show some examples then. I gave you examples showing the regional ratings are no different when the cowboys play to when 2 NSW clubs play

Titans rate on par or if not a little higher than NSW clubs>> in QLD
123k in Brisbane is not better than Brisbane rates with 2 NSW clubs playing, so that is has not been shown with figures
bar in Mind Titans have little success...
same as Port and Freo, yet it doesnt stop you guys saying we are advantaged showing their games into their cities
What i would like to see is what the AFL do in scheduling..

have the Titans and Cowboys on FTA each week LIVE INTO QLD>>
and on FOX> around Australia.
And as the figures show, the QLD ratings are NO bigger when the cowboys or Titans play, so targeting QLD with these games wont produce more ratings than seeing 2 NSW clubs
My statement was TItans are on FTA 3 times this year.
because ch9 know the titans do not rate any extra in QLD
SUNS are on FTA 22 times.

It is a huge advantage to the SUNS AND AFL

which is not doing the NRL any favours.
Nor do the Suns rate any better in Qld than any other team. It is certainly an advantage for expansion, but none at all for ratings

Ok what the HELL

I dont give what they rate>>

THE NRL Is missing out on tv numbers>>

Stop having everything about the broncos!

SUNS dont rate I already know that!!

doesnt mean NRL cannot & should not be showing COWBOYS AND TITANS MORE FTA IN QLD

your level of comments are not even on the same level as what i am talking about>>

BRONCOS play the Titans twice this year>>

it is a QLD derby and they are both of FOX

Not on FTA>>

My argument is Some Clubs should have more FTA games!
Just like what the AFL do

That's up to Ch9 and the NRL who schedule the way they want. The show the broncos because they rate. They dont bother with the cowboys and titans because there is no difference in QLD ratings compared to seeing any other team. The evidence shows this. If you dont agree show some evidence.

Essentially this means he NRL wouldnt rate higher if they targeted games like the AFL

Wouldnt change the ratings though, which is mostly what this argument is about

On current format you would be correct>>

but again my point is "IF" they changed the current format to more like the AFL>>

NRL Would benefit more from exposure & tv ratings.

for Example
TITANS COWBOYS ARE on FTA every week.
but are shown on FOX around AUSTRALIA>

based on the same model of what THE S.A and W.A Teams are doing..

you are benefited with having an extra 150k - 200k approx per week per team if this is the case.
depending if they are shown in Afternoon or at night..
This figure would include METRO AND REGIONALS> IN QLD only.

NRL is missing the point>> you can get more QLD AFL teams on FTA
than QLD NRL teams on FTA>>

do you get my points...............

I get your points but the figures dont support it. QLD's ratings and the regional figures are NOT higher when Cowboys and Titans are on FTA. If you can find examples where they are I'll reconsider, but the figures I've shown say that's wrong

I am not saying they are higher>> or lower>>

no examples need to be provided, as it scheduling broadcast deal which is set up.. (AFL MODEL)

By Titans being on FOX every week>> the exposure and tv ratings is limited>>
if it had the AFL model, figures would be higher..

( i am not saying Titans replace Broncos as the marquee game on friday night or Thursday.
i am stating, they should be given more exposure>>
either it be Saturday Afternoon on FTA>
Sunday Afternoon on FTA>
or Saturday night on FTA

JUST as what the AFL do>>FOX Televise it and 7 get the game in QLD for the suns / lions.

it is just the TITANS would rate alot higher than the Suns or Lions
Is where the NRL GAIN GROUND>
but currently under this broadcast deal > they do not gain they lose.

Say what? On the one hand youre saying they wouldnt be higher, then on the other hand you are saying they would be higher???

Sure, but again if it doesnt translate into higher ratings the point is mute in this thread.

Again, the figures do not show the QLD ratings increase when the Titans or Cowboys are on FTA.

Now you may say this is because they are not on FTA consistently. But neither are the storm, yet they have a notable increase in ratings in Melbourne compared to when they are not on FTA.

GC and Townsville are small population bases so an increase in ratings is unlikely anyway

LOL are you kidding...

Quick example>>

CURRENT TV DEAL
Titans v Tigers on FOX rates 250k

AFL TV DEAL

Titans v Tigers on FOX rates 210k ... BUT Titans are shown into QLD on FTA and rate a further 150k +

But every other FTA game without a QLD team is rating around 150k in Brisbane already, so there is no advantage...

Remember, every market only gets 80-90 FTA games a year. Showing the titans on FTA into QLD is one of their 80-90 games. If they dont rate higher in Brisbane than any other game why bother?

Yep he keeps discounting this fact .
FTA targeted into home markets is maximising the ratings for that market .
