Why is it idiotic? As an exapmle, If 40% of NSW and QLD subscribe to fox, while only 20% in other states, this allows more of NSW and QLD to watch every game, and that is NRL heartland.

Can you explain why this isnt a reasonable conclusion? Or will you continue to close your eyes and ears?
I don't know why I respond to this rubbish. Its very tiresome. I don't care for excuses pal.....I care for the raw numbers........you know........ the actual facts. You fumblers are continually making excuses why you get flogged. What if.....what if........what if........what if my aunty had nuts......she be my uncle!!!! It's pointless pal.

I could easily say we don't count NZ ratings. That'd be the equivalent of not counting the ratings for West Coast or Adelaide. Or what the NRL actually get in NZ which is about 200k per round. But that'd be an excuse.

I could say that so far this year the AFL has had 41 FTA games and 27 broadcast while the NRL has had only 19 FTA games and 19 broadcast. That is a massive disadvantage to the NRL. But that'd be an excuse.

So I don't care for your BS Fox subscription excuse. In fact I could easily say that as the AFL broadcast many more FTA games supporters need Fox less than NRL supporters. But that'd be another excuse.

No......I'm happy to look at the raw numbers. Because that's what counts pal. Everything else is noise. Or in your case the whinging, whining and bleating of a delusional fumble fan. Desperately trying to spin a counter factual argument on what ifs and maybe's.

Move on pal!!!!!!
Maybe come back in October then Terry if all you are interested in is the total numbers.

See ya
Well ya see pal........total numbers come from single game numbers ...........then per round numbers. All added up to get total numbers. I know you will struggle to grasp this concept. Yep......they're all related. If you want to take notice of TV ratings of single games you must take notice of total numbers. Unless of course you want to spin some idiotic reasoning why your chosen code falls short in certain areas........maybe like.......total ratings.

So bad luck pal......I'll be hanging around.

Not sure why, whenever ratings are discussed you simply refer to the end of season total.

What, the disadvantage you guys get by spitting your matches each Sat & Sunday and getting about an extra 300k each week. Or are you talking about the extra matches (25%) that get eachPerth and Adelaide each week.

NRL are more popular! Theory as farked up as all the rest [-(

the NRL is more popular even though theyve lost the last 21 head to head games in a row? :hmm:

Yes the AFL get a leg up in some states because they get home teams on FTA, although showing these games in non-prime time lessens the advantage. However, it also means AFL fans in these states are less likely to subscribe to foxtel which means we get less ratings on foxtel which is relevant because every game is on Foxtel

What silver? You're acting like a peanut in this thread this year. Or suddenly aggregates matter now?
What do you mean ? 'aggregate suddenly matters ? Its what we've been collecting the gold medal for, for years.

your self pronounced golds mean shit.

And it doesnt seem to have mattered recently.
Can you explain these comments please Wookie. More specifically the term 'self pronounced'. I believe we're talking about the NRL out rating the AFL last year. Did we just make that up......or did it really happen. Why 'self pronounced' please Wookie.

Also the term 'golds mean shit'. Can you please explain this. Why so? Does getting more ratings 'mean shit'. And if yes.....why?? Thanks.

Also 'it doesn't seem to have mattered recently'. To what are you referring Wookie? What is the meaning of this? What exactly hasn't 'mattered recently'. And why?

Thank you in anticipation Wookie.

I've always wondered.
Who actually awards the coveted gold medal for ratings?
When is the ceremony?
What does the medal look like?

Encouraging figures for Swans vs Giants on the primary Channel 7 in Sydney last night. This despite the result and form of Swans. Easily beat Channel 9 and 10’s programs.

SEVEN’S AFL: SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Channel 7 583,000 87,000 209,000 156,000 131,000

SEVEN’S AFL: SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – PRE MATCH Channel 7 443,000 98,000 189,000 93,000 63,000

SEVEN’S AFL: SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – POST MATCH Channel 7 261,000 72,000 112,000 76,000

The Broncs v Sharks got a massive 313k on Fox. The NRL really must get a FTA game on all Saturday nights in the next broadcast deal. A game like last nights would would get around 1M in total for sure. And extra FTA Saturday game is probably the way to finance the addition of 2 new teams. It's a no brainer.

It's going to be fun watching you declare yourselves the ratings winners and Australia's favourite sport whilst being beaten every round.

Contest/ races are won at the end .
Whoever is in front at the finish line wins .
It doesn't matter if you're in front for 99% of a race .
It's who's in front at the line .
Is that a too hard of a concept to grasp .

Obviously .
Then again ..fumblers are not known for common sense & brains .

so it doesnt make you wonder about the relevance of your end of year result when you've been beaten head to head for 21 games straight?

Like seriously? :hmm:
