Seems obvious to me that extra games dilutes the audience of each individual match, so a lower average is entirely expected. 500 AFL fans watch 2 matches average 250 viwers, 500 NRL fans watch 1 match 500 viewers. Perhaps this has been covered im new.

AFL total 823k without ratings from Sydney. NRL total 672k. As with most 1 match v 1 match comparisons, the AFL wins.

Furthermore, it's more proof there is little to no benefit in FTA ratings showing more than 2 games at once. However, the penalty in fox ratings is significant
