Another big win for the AFL on FTA on Friday night. Check out the difference in numbers for the respective codes in their non-heartland cities. The AFL clearly has more nationwide appeal.

NSW was never shut down like Victoria was, and when it was partially limited that was in Mid December not in NRL season...

VICTORIA was shut down for 5 months during the AFL SEASON.

The AFL has a free run for well over 3000min a year . Doesn't help them though

Only 20-30% of people have foxtel, maybe even less now we have other streaming options. In fact even when the AFL crush the NRL in total ratings the NRL rate more on TV. Therefore the NRL will rate more on fox no matter what the circumstances, let alone when the AFL show 2 games on fax at the same time
