I think regardless of who's watching what, the far more worrying sign here is if Victorian people want to watch the football why cant they operate the TV remote????????????????????? [-(
It's bizarre .
It's FRI nite l.i want to have a few beers & watch the footy
Say the Cows v storm game was on gem or go or whatever ...or even shunted to SBS for some reason .
I sit down at 7.45 turn on ch 9 ..not on ..there's a wedding or something .

I want to watch my team .
Seeing I have an IQ above a pot plant( Victorians seem to be way below this ) .
I say mmm that's strange ..maybe they put it on another ch .
I pick up remote ..start going through channels .

Wow here it is .& I don't say .ah well it's on a secondary ch ...in HD im not gunna watch
Lol

How fucking hard is it to press a button on a remote .
Fuck you're a moron!

A proportion of every TV audience watch because they are invested, and a proportion watch because it's convenient. They wont plan ahead, they'll turn the TV on and watch whatever. These are part of every ratings figure. This is one reason prime time rates far better, people will sit in front of the TV and watch something even if it's not their preferred interest.

Whether you understand it or not it's a fucking fact you imbecile
Oh dear .. meltdown in progress
& what a fucking hypocrite ..
You ranting about facts when this thread has been hijacked by your but but but ...deflect deflect deflect from the one fact that got you out of your hiding place in the jungle
RL IS THE MOST WATCHED SPORT IN AUST .
You've spent weeks making excuses grasping at straws deflecting onto the USA .....all to try to make excuses for your sport getting beaten .

Move on
Maybe ratings for your abortion of a sport won't drop like a stone next year.
Maybe they will
No Comm Games to blame
NO royal wedding to blame

Start looking for excuses now
Because that's all you have .

that response is just like you. All you want to do is make surface assumptions without understanding the complexity of areas like ratings. The moment the discussion becomes more complex you claim it's deflection. Maybe it's because you're too stupid to understand beyond the basics.

More cumulative ratings is just the same audience watching more often which doesnt indicate popularity or more fans. That's why the USA media analysis looks at unique audience figures, not cumulative ratings. I cant imagine how you're going to react with this gem

I am pretty confident in S.A high majority are on Ch7 (main Channel)
so that rules out that argument.

and in Perth Home Teams are shown on Channel 7
especially for saturday Afternoon games and home games at home saturday night.
if they do not collide with News.
For SA there are more on 7 than mate. For Perth's it's 2/3rds on mate. If you dont believe me check the schedule

Rnd 13 Syd v WC on 7 mate
i believe you... but like i said, home team games are shown on Main Channel Ch7
unless it is Thursday / Friday or when news is on.

No amount of waffling on with your endless shit will change that .

I'm really starting to think this remote illiteracy may be a fault of the Vicderrpian Education System. Being able to use a remote is a skill that needs to be taught at high school . When buying a TV , they need to be taught to bring the remote home with them as well as the TV. The football may not always be on 7, they just cant throw the TV's out.

You only have to look at their ratings to see they are effected. Given their population they rate poorly on 7 mate compared to Brisbane watching non-broncos games on ch9

None which changes the fACT that afL got beaten .
If you think it's the scheduling ..then go talk to Gilty .

I don't think it's the scheduling .
All sports scheduling has advantages & disadvantages .

You just scream that your sport is more hard done by .
It's been discussed a million times on here .
Yet you just ignore any replies discount any post that shows the upside of your scheduling & keep chanting the fishbowl mantra .

Oh I nearly forgot ..just to get your AFL can't lose OCD going

None change the cumulative ratings, they just bring it into context. The same audience watching more often means nothing for popularity, hence no one else gives a shit.

GREASE Channel 9 414,000 127,000 112,000 75,000 45,000 55,000
FATHER BROWN RPT ABC 374,000 99,000 120,000 56,000 28,000 70,000

SHREK -EV 9GO! 176,000 44,000 63,000 30,000 16,000 24,000
THE HUNGER GAMES -EV 9GO! 152,000 44,000 42,000 28,000 16,000 21,000

A 40 year old movie Grease, and a repeat of father brown on the ABC easily out rated a classic in Shrek and an action movie the hunger games. Not close, easily
Bump.

Apparently you guys think Grease is more than twice as popular as Shrek and The Hunger Games

Mate games halve that on 7mate..

how much more do you want melbourne teams rating into perth anyways...
about half sounds about right..

another reason why the AFL show Home teams on FTA into home states.

in S.A it is also the case.
home teams rate about 80% more than when victorian teams play.
and that is on Ch7

(regarding Broncos)
they were only allocated 55% on FTA matches for the 2018 Season....
2019 season has lifted though.

Adelaide rate far better than Perth for Friday games involving Melbourne teams despite having almost half the population. I think that shows the effect of games on 7mate starting at 5.30pm

But dont mention that to AFLcrap, he doesnt like complexity

The Eagle's schedule is far worse than you think:
- 3 of their games are shown on delay by more than 2 and a half hours each, so basically useless
- 9 of their games are on 7mate (41%)
- 4 of their games start before midday which is crazy
- only 2 of their games are on Thursday or Friday, and they start at 5.30pm on a weekday
- They only get 2 games for the year which start in prime time and thats at 6pm

What a shocking schedule for ratings. No wonder they get some extra FTA games

Eagles schedule:
Rnd 1 on 7mate at 4pm Sunday
Rnd 2 on 7mate at 4pm Sunday with a 3 hour delay
Rnd 3 on 7mate at 2.30pm on Sunday
Rnd 4 on 7mate at 6pm Saturday
Rnd 5 on 7 at 2.30pm Saturday
Rnd 6 on 7 at 2.30pm Sunday
Rnd 7 on 7 at 2.30pm Saturday
Rnd 8 on 7mate at 2.30pm Saturday with 2 3/4hr delay
Rnd 9 on 7 at 2.30pm Sunday
Rnd 10 on 7 at 11am Sunday
Rnd 11 on 7mate at 6pm Saturday
Rnd 12 BYE
Rnd 13 on 7mate at 5.30pm Friday
Rnd 14 on 7mate at 5.30pm Thursday
Rnd 15 on 7 at 2.30pm Saturday
Rnd 16 on 7 at 2.30pm Sunday
Rnd 17 on 7 at 11am Sunday
Rnd 18 on 7 at 1pm Sunday
Rnd 19 on 7 at 11am Sunday
Rnd 20 on 7 at 2.30pm Sunday
Rnd 21 on 7 at 2.30pm Saturday
Rnd 22 on 7mate at 4.30pm Sunday with 2 3/4hr delay
