this overlapping crap they go on with can easily be countered with the fact all of their games have some coverage on FTA TV where 100% of that market it is shown in has access to it

the NRL has 5 of its 8 games shown where only 40% of people can view them

Yep. Been stated and explained to the dills innumerable times.

They’re quite happy to accept it the odd year their mess out-rates RL.

But years like this when they’re getting flogged they revert to type.......goldfish bowl dwellers dills!!!!

pointless argument here anyway
the NRL has 192 regular season games
the AFL 199

so comparable by these measures where as the NBA & NFL aren't even close in number of games played
And about 140 of ours overlap with another game FFS. How is that even close to comparable?

most are partial overlaps and some are half overlaps
and rest are full, though who in Melbourne wants to watch Suns v West Coast game, they don't.
they will get a Richmond v Essendon Game on FTA! and the very small minority can watch the Suns Game lol

What are the raw numbers for premiership season just wondering. I know obviously rugby league win rep ratings but just curious as to the season hone and away comp? Cause I thought the afl home and away won last year. But yes, cudos yo Rl (as opposed to nrl) for their SoO and internationals etc. clearly win with these added in. Just curious re AFL v NRl pre overshoot season.

AFL won last year, NRL won the season before that, AFL the Season before that.

I am pretty sure when Origin and Rep Games have been added to the total list NRL Reins supreme every time.

the raw numbers

The NRL attracted 4.383 Million veiwers last weekend for their 8 games all platforms , even allowing for a saturday night FTA telecast instead of a thursday which probably cost us 150K veiwers
3 on FTA
5 on pay

the AFL on the same weekend attracted
1.971 million veiwers on STV for 9 games foxtel & kayo
& another 2.091 million on FTA ..
probably thats been happening all season too

I'd suggest when fumblers want to use raw numbers , they actually research them

3 of the Saturday games have full overlap, and 2 have partial overlap. 1 Sunday game has full overlap and 2 partial overlap.

Lets take last night for example. If played in isolation Bulldogs v saints would rate at least 600k on FTA and 150k on Fox. Playing 2 games at once got 850k but divided by 2 is 425k average compared to 750k for a single isolated game. Targeting multiple home markets with 2 games shows an advantage but the average still drops well below that of a single game

your 72 is probably more like 85 and are shown nation wide. Of the AFL's 199 games only about 40 would be nation-wide, the rest are shown to a few states only.

Amazing how you can overlook the bleeding obvious

Pal, how many times do I have to repeat this!!!! Surely you cannot be this stupid. I have said this on numerous occasions..............over and over............repeatedly............over many years now!!

We do what Wookie used to do. Add up numbers over a similar number of games of our respective games. You then add them up..........aggregate and average. As Wookie used to do........ and voila............there is a winner!!! Usually RL.

Now stop this idiot/cowardly straw man argument you have about what I said.

Raw numbers are the actual numbers put out by the relative companies pal. You go to the coulda, shoulda, woulda, if , but, maybe got more if ................isolation............scheduling..........but...........but...............but!!!!!

Now print this post and stick on your fridge. Every time this argument comes up just go to your fridge. I will remind you of this pal. You need a lot of help!!!!!! Shhhhhhhhheeeeeessssshhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

probably 150 of the 199 are shown into the derps & misses capitals ... often 2 of the 3 at the same time
Melb would get almost 100 games a year on FTA

& 85??
get your hand off it you wanker
its 75

theres 24 Friday games ... womens origin on the rep weekend round on the friday
24 Sunday games .. mens origin on the sunday of rep round
theres no thursday game on 2 of the 3 split rounds & there wasn't one for magic round
22 Thursday games
5 saturday games in the final 5 rounds

huge advantage to the singlet wearers
amazing how you overlook the bleeding obvious
