19 NRL Melb V Newc (1,236,000)
20 AFL Carlt V West C (1,217,000)
Regional average 2014 - 387k
Regional Average 2015 - 311k
Regional Average 2016 - 301k
Regional Average 2017 - 252k
Regional Average 2018 - 253k
Regional Average 2019 - 221k
Regional Average 2020 - 215k
Back in those days Ratings for the NRL's 16th team were still available. That would make some difference . I think the main difference would be streaming. Many of our Metro ratings aren't getting a lot more than 300k these days . So its stands to reason that many of our regional viewers are still watching but through streaming devices also and even on PTV.

So you don't win any weeks in the finals either.baselinepanther wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:28 pmagainSportCapital wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 6:45 pmJudging by that answer SFA!baselinepanther wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 3:38 pm
calculate our regionals correctly & the answer would be most lol
when 9 sold win to southern cross & took on gem , we lost half our reach in NSW & QLD
I recall 1.
What about finals? Any wins there for Rugby league?
calculate our regionals correctly & finals would be ours too
are we expected to believe this are we
the knights NNSW & raiders SNSW finals games attracted roughly the same or less regional viewers then AFL finals games with no regional teams playing
the regional population of the NRL states is 6 million
the regional population of the AFL states is 3 million
yeah
nothing to see here

Have you considered the sample size of set top boxes?baselinepanther wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 7:42 amgames that drew 1.5 million on their ear 10 years ago on FTA alone in the NRL now struggle to get to 1 million on FTA , PTV .. & streaming devices combined despite the population of NRL states increasing by 1.5 million in that time !!
Its not changing veiwing habits or a drop in interest or anything like that , its just BS plain & simple.
I don't have the figures but I bet ten years ago there were considerably less. Requiring larger factoring.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
funny isnt it. He seems to be saying the regional ratings are incorrect, and if counted correctly would make all the difference. What to tool doesnt understand is the metro figures are also way lower which corresponds with decreased FTA TV ratings across the world. He's a decade behind the times

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Dave, do you think Ch9 would allow undercounting of their ratings from their regional markets, losing them millions of dollars in advertising revenue each year?baselinepanther wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 12:42 pmNoSportCapital wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 11:40 amSo you don't win any weeks in the finals either.baselinepanther wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:28 pm

AFL fans still can’t grasp the fact that year on year, Rugby League is the most watched sport on Television .
It’s laughable that people still claim otherwise.
