I think your overestimating just how pathetic these fumblers are. For us, I make it 3.6 , for them about 3.4 with a bit to come. Cant see it being near 200k though.
Yep. That's about what I got. But with one less game and no home ratings for one team it is a good old fashion belting anyway you look at it.

Are the AFL numbers tanking again?? Have the 9 rule changes not changed the mess enough?? Are the fans again turning away??
We got 1.1mil on Friday night for a single game shown in isolation, more than 300k over the NRL. This was EASILY the highest rating game of the round again, and higher than every NRL game this year bar 1

We then squeeze 8 games, or 24 hours of sport, into the next 14-15 hours of telecast and surprise surprise these games rate far far lower on average......

For as often as you ignore this crucial factor I'll remind you, despite claiming I'm in a fishbowl. In truth you're either too stupid to understand this or too disingenuous. I'm undecided at this point, probably both
Well done for friday pal. Yep......you beat RL in one match. Looks like we take the round despite having one less game and no home ratings from one team. That's an absolute smashing. Most watched sport last week......yep.....you betcha.......Rugby League!!!!!!!

Terry, try and use your grey matter FFS, that's what it's for.

1. The one match rated more than EVERY NRL match for the round.
2. That AFL match was one of only 2 AFL matches shown in isolation

You think this is a coincidence?

Still waiting on you cumulative ratings example too......... :>::

Well folks I've just a quick crunch of the numbers and it appears both NRL & AFL got around 3.5 mill for the round. By my quick count RL might narrowly win. Which in real terms is a wacking as we have one less game and no home ratings from one of our teams.

Now I did these numbers very quickly and I could be wrong......I have been before......I think it was 1973...........so if anyone has different calculations let me know.
You are wrong.

NRL totals in at 3.603 million for the round
AFL totals in at 3.770 million so far - im still getting the Adelaide afternoon figures for Port v Hawthorn, and the Brisbane figures on Sunday for the Lions v Fremantle. Should end up around 3.9 million.

Which in real terms is a wacking.
Thanks captain. I clearly stated that my numbers were calculated quickly and could very well be out. Thanks for clarification.

Also thanks for the humour. This place needs more of it. And of course if RL is 300k short of AFL with one less game and no NZ numbers it is a clear win to the good 'ol girl RL.

It,s looking good for a good old fashion thrashing at years end!

Say your a tv exec... you have the rights to Friday night afl and Friday night nrl to choose for the year. Whichever you don’t put on goes to an opposition channel. Your job depends on you out rating the opposition channel . That’s the only metric. Which do you choose and why?

Say you're a tv exec.
You are going to buy the rights to a sport .
Do you buy the most watched ..the one with the most viewers all year .
That's the only metric

for FTA, yes, but it's more than average viewers, it's also viewers over time. Buying a sport that rates an average of 500k for 27 hours is a lot more appealing than a sport rating 500k for 16 hours. For foxtel it's subscriptions

as opposed to the NRL fans who constantly ignore the differences in scheduling. It's like it doesnt even exist, yet the results are there for everyone to see on every weekend.

You guys ignore and it's fine, I dont ignore and I'm too far gone.

The reason you guys ignore is you have NO answer, none. It's easier to ignore what you cant defeat with logic

I constantly present points with data for you guys to discuss. Most are basically ignored. Then Terry comes in and claims they've been discussed and defeated. There's delusion for you

That’s wasn’t the question.

It’s a hypothetical. You have to choose each week which one you go with. Remember you already own both rights but the one you don’t choose goes to the opposition. Which do you choose afl crap and why. Remember you own both.

Its pretty obvious if you show more games or more hours of sport in a day you will generally get lower ratings per game
If you have games all days Saturday doesn't this just mean you watch the AFL for half an hour (league not on) go out and mow the lawn. come back and watch the AFL for half an hour, go and wash the car (NRL not on) . Watch the AFL for half an hour., run some message (NRL not on) watch footy , go to shop .Watch more footy(NRL still no etc etc. NRL ratings = 0, AFL ratings = some.

???? So how is this such a huge disadvantage. It will increase your overall rating !@ the average person only watches 2 or 3 games!@

Yes, most of your games are shown at similar times but most of your PTV games are boosted by FTA. And you split your matches , showing them into there home markets to once again boost your ratings.
