Fox Footy 337,000

Fox League 333,000

500k win by the AFL. Must be all those fringe regional viewers stuck on WIN
hmmmmm

AFL .. no regional team playing , no qld or nsw team either
3 million potential viewers in their heartland states
299K viewers

NRL .. 1 regional team playing
6 million potential viewers in their heartland states
341K viewers

Brisbane with half the population rated 83k for the AFL compared the the storm in Melbourne rating 85k. Yes, the AFL had twice the viewership per population in Brisbane for no QLD side compare to the storm in Melbourne.

The ratings are correct, AFL is more popular than the NRL. The NRL's ratings have dwindled in metros and regionals at similar rates

Can’t understand why a change in (fta) channels would result in a lower audience unless a whole lot of people don’t have access to those channels, which is not my understanding.
Isn’t it just a case of changing the channel...and remotes make that an easy task.

There are lies, damn lies and ratings.

That doesnt change a thing. The raw numbers and even the average numbers dont mean the same thing to broadcasters, and end of day, theyd know. There are too many unknowns, reach and peak data for instance.

How the Fox extension coming along ?
Hows the Nine extension coming along?

The networks want to show the adds to the most viewers . Not just someone who watched a few minutes .

The NRL have signed a new Billion dollar contract with Fox . Thats the main one. Fox can be very nasty if they don't get there way as the NRL found out previously. C9 seem very keen on Origin. They will soon come around. If they don't there are other options.

Which is why the length of the game is important.

Its the main one for you. It doesnt mean its the main one for everyone else.
