I just don't get it. Many leaguies refer to Australian Football as GayFL, but why?

The only openly gay professional footballer in any footy code that I've heard of, was Ian Roberts in the NRL. Does that mean rugby league referred to as GayRL is more logical? :?

That's the funny thing - they do it as it rhymes with AFL - but that is just the acronym for the competition. I always refer to it by it's real name - Australian Football.

I don't have pay tv, but where I have been staying these holidays has it and I have been getting more than my dose watching all games from all rounds in the Years 2001 - 2004.

I'm reliving the Lions glory years (to be continued...) over and over and over.

I also notice that there is a RL State of Origin marathon on today.
