i dont think it will be easy, the PERTH BEARS CLUB will still need to be run very professionally to crack the market.

Just going off the stats
20,000 members signed in 5 days (and BEARS SHUT IT OFF) as these are for 1st in for ticketed seats at HBF PARK which only fits 20k
they are predicting a sell out every game
and BIG GAMES AT OPTUS> to reach very big numbers.
BEARS are expecting upwards of 40k members 1st season alone.
SPONSORSHIP at the Moment is at record levels. where there jersey is worth 6.5mill per season.
Grassroots bigger than Victoria.


this alone never happened to the STORM until 20 years later.

no to try and out do the Bears achievements in the 40k memberships i dont know the full details . i remember reading an article about sporting teams and memberships.
the new Tasmainan Devil side and there memberships has an apparent 210k members making it the 6th highest club membership in the world

Bears had to cap at 20k due to demand, as HBF park will only sit 20k

BEARS are expecting 35k to 40k members once opening membership to ticketed and at Optus Stadium in Perth Alone.
In NSW its really hard to know how much they will get
they will have option for NSW members to attend NSW games appartently.

TASMANIA will have no way near that number upon entry. 210k (Laughable)
be interesting to see what they can hit.

Ill say it again - membership numbers in general are meaningless as a measure of support or popularity - full season membership I can agree is useful; - but these one game, 3 game etc. are pointless. They serve a purpose - no doubt - but as a measure.........

Tassie will fill whatever membership numbers they have available for sale.

for the bears Assuming the vast majority bought the standard $79 tier, the 16,000+ members generated a minimum of $1.26 million to upwards of $2 million+ AUD in upfront capital within the first week alone, heavily bolstered by those purchasing the premium $3,000 packages. The club is officially projecting to scale past 30,000 total members once full ticketed season packages are distributed. the new TV deal could include aspects of the UK superleague an extra 70 million plus eyeballs to show your product to

be interesting to see the number NRL & Super League agree on..

Super League has a great product and fans but terrible leadership for years and Clubs who protect themselves..

For the NRL this is a very nice asset to have that they can control and propel forward.

Bears are about to find out soon, looks set to be released in December.

both the Devils and Bears will be hard to get as ticketed members as both will have 20k & 23k stadiums pretty much.

its a bit difficult for that as clubs play at different stadiums and sometimes home games at multiple stadiums all with different capacities. then stadiums have memberships also MCC, SCC so really numbers are far fetched, revenue from them is a good indication
