This is just bald faced outright jealousy bugbear. Rugby League is an international game. Get over it. Its not in contention. Its not a conversation. Its just absolute fact - plain and simple.

Move on bugbear you're making a fool of yaself.
It’s laughable at best in the international stage! The Australian grown game of AFL has an excuse of not being an international game. League by international levels is a joke. In Europe it’s played by rejects of union or ex union players wanting get a few more years on the field before putting the boots in the cupboard

You are just plain jealous makingstupidstupider. I'd advise you to save your idiocy for something close to credible pal. Rugby League is international. Fumble ball is not. Get over it ya dill!!!!!!!!

I know facts seem to make the oxygen machine for the bubble head in to overdrive! Facts don’t determine portray a sport or organisation in a good or bad way, they just present them self

Considering one is a by product of a popular European, UK and Irish game of Union, the players make up people mostly playing Union but switched to league,

League still only has one professional competition, that’s in Australia like the AFL.

Continued comparisons like these are only laughable at league’s expense and only continues to show little knowledge of history and a large inferiority complex
FFS makingwackwacked, give up pal. Continually making a fool of yaself on a public forum ain't good for the soul pal.
Sounds like someone is getting very salty lol... =D =D

Only person being made a fool of is you with your very jealous denial of Rugby Leagues global success over the AFL.

AFL China & NZ exhibition matches were completely embarrassing for the AFL.

China you played the AFL match in a 3rd world empty stadium.

New Zealand you cancelled the exhibition contract early with New Zealand because of such low interest and falling crowds.

Then you just look at how professional the World Club Challenge is comparison.

Rugby League has 29 first grade clubs in 4 countries to AFLs 18 first grade clubs in just Australia lol...

WOW>> north of England is actually really popular spot for RUGBY LEAGUE

just check out some of the highlights over the weekend of games

YORK great WIN
BRADFORD RETURNS
TOULESE beating Wakefield

SELL OUTS SELL OUTS
Rugby League World Cup challenge utter nonsense.
Rugby League is not a world game
World game implies a sport that is extremely popular, part of the culture in many countries
Rugby League World Cup challenge and also the Rugby League World Cup do not fill this criteria.

Novelty events often sell out but they never translate to genuine sustainable interest.
Rugby League does have a few fans in Northern England, but no further., the Scots certainly don't want or care for it.
Rugby League in England is way down the list

Soccer
Rugby Union
Cricket
Tennis
Darts
Rugby League.

Second point is that a Rugby League World Cup held a few years back was a. failure with many one sided games.
Thrashings were plenty, Australia vs Tonga nothing but a big bully humiliating a tiny island nation, that just one example.
No other sporting organisations would do this.
The equivalent if you could imagine would be an American NFL World Cup where the American team plays and annihilates the Bahamas.
It's a World Cup because the Bahamas compete in it.
Simply wouldn't hsppen.
American Football is technically called Gridiron football and there is a professional league in Canada called the CFL. Which is a very similar sport. So even Gridiron is an international game unlike AFL which is only in Australia because it's shite.

As for the Rugby League world cup. If it is not successful, why did Ch7 buy the rights to it this year? Yes that's right, the Rugby League World Cup coverage will be shown by the same channel that shows AFL lol...
Hmm what channel is paying money for that AFL world cup?

Please don't claim Rugby League is a true international sport.
Number six in the England, that is being very generous.

And as for Rugby League in France

Most people have never heard of it

Most people in France are ignorant or indifferent to the game

https://www.totalrl.com/treiziste-diary ... ague-fans/

Hardly World Cup or potential World Cup challange material.
Is big enough for France to fund two professional clubs from there competing in the Superleague.

Catalan Dragons & Toulouse Olympique.

What has AFL got? They can't even have a successful exhibition match in NZ, let alone a team lol...

You wouldn’t even know where France is on a map let alone acknowledge that Union is huge in France!

Is RL popular any place Union is not?

Yes Union is Massive in France>>

Do you know what happened during and after WW2 to LEAGUE in France >> It was given to Union by the Government
they lost approx 2 billion in todays money..
this is the reason Union is bigger than France..

If you like and can be bothered do some Research of French Rugby League it is very interesting..
they hosted the 1st World Cup
Massive assets and fan base. which crumbled
But now French rebuild with its popularity in the South

I think there would only be 2 countries on Earth where LEAGUE is Bigger than Union

Australia and PNG (PNG is your answer where Union is not popular)

union is popular here well when teams like Ireland, England etc play over the Aussies over here. the local comp i dont think so

Local comp is lowly supported in crowds and viewers, it has niche following.. In Australia.
Wallabies have a good following considering how pathetic they have been for the pass 10 years.
still get solid Crowds.
but there Tv Ratings are equivalent to a normal AFL or NRL H&A Friday night match audience.

huge decline for wallabies since the heights of the late 90's and early 2000's
