Re: Soccer Broadcast Rights

From my post of: From 11/9/20 “And give potential for an increase in TV income. Of course the broadcasters that do not rely on ad revenue may have ideas of their own. CBS that own 10, have neglected the ptv arm, recently announced they are redoing the whole thing, CBS Rejuvenated themselves by inves...

Re: Soccer Broadcast Rights

I cannot see either super rugby or A-League being too attractive for any of the broadcasters in the nearfuture. The big 2 are a different matter. Come 2025 the picture (pun) will change greatly. Paramount and 10. Amazon prime and anyone, Disney and anyone, money talks. Stan will need to be after mor...

Re: Kayo Domination!

In further incredible news for RL on Fox/Kayo, Saturdays Bronco's V Roosters game rated 499k (both platforms combined). That is a massive 185k on Kayo alone!!!!!!! In a massive dose of reality for the fumbling the Kayo number alone was higher than 7 of of the 9 Fox set top numbers for the round for ...

Re: Highest Rating matches this year.

Agree. The gap does appear to be widening. RL seems to have maintained its fox audience but also added kayo. However their fta ratings have declined. Net result is probably about even overall. AFL ratings on fox, and some FTA have declined but probably been replaced by kayo. Come next rights deal RL...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

I tend to agree that the ratings last year were not an adequate comparison. While there were many factors which favoured an increase, like shorter games, more isolated games in prime time, and lockdown, the season was heavily compromised with an uneven draw. Many side just couldn't manage the hub aw...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

No but we are talking about ratings and the impact of a show being in prime time? Wouldn't it being a Grand Final make it more advantageous to having it in prime time? Everybody knows when the grand final is on And anyone who wants to wach it will, day time/night time wont matter. A club game is a ...

Re: 2021 - Rugby League TV Ratings - NRL etc

there has been a drop of in everthing from Grand Finals to Club games - the main reason would be streaming , others would be playing out of season, Playing games of a Sunday nights. Also Origin enjoyed a golden period , When Qld dominated and NSW were desperate to beat them. No alarm bells here Beau...

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds

It is to save costs. You put the crowd in a particular part / section of the stadium and most part of the stadium is off limits. it basically limits costings overall. Why wouldn’t they do this for all the games there then. Looked packed in the open bits. Guess it goes to show if you put everyone in...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

I wouldn’t say it means nothing. You obviously have people interested enough to pay for Fox and understandably so given this is the main way to see the game. Same with FTA... ratings are likely to be lower for NRL as there is more likely to be more supporters who have fox thus watching it on there. ...

Re: Highest Rating matches this year.

Rl will but not NRL Gee Freddo, how many times have we been over this pal? Rugby League is a 3 tiered sport. AFL is a one trick pony. It is the reason why RL flogs AFL most years as the nations most watched sport. Surely you remember this Freddy??????? You of course like to ignore anything that is ...
