Danny Green v Marcus Beyer Title Fight
Seemed like a great fight with Green coming back very strongly in the last round. He had to knock Beyer out to win the fight and had a standing 8 count against him but in the end couldnt do it. Judges scored the fight 113-113, 113- 112, 115-112. A close one, I only saw the last round which Green dom...

West Tigers still the most overrated club in league?
I know last year the west tigers completely flopped when half way throught the season many rated them highly. This season they've started off with a big loss to the eels. The eels lost to north sydney bears in one of their trials 28-24. Looks like another sad sad year for those wests tigers fans :lo...

Yeah looks like an interesting night croc, category five is the most destructive cyclone going although there has been one category six 500kph+ monster winds which prior to the event was considered inconcievable. I love the power of nature and would love to see a cyclone but cant say I'd like to exp...

  Tidy work folks. Lets get back to sydney crowds. There are nine teams in sydney lets suppose that two of those teams play eachother on a given weekend. Going by the 14000 average that would be 28000 supporters. And suppose two of those teams play out of sydney. So three teams left averag...

  It is very simple to dumb any sport down. AFL: Kick, catch, stop, kick, catch, stop, kick, drop, scramble around like a bunch of chooks pecking at seed, stop and wait for guy in rediculous white getup to lob overhead, scramble like chooks, stop and wait for guy in ridiculous white getup ...

By saying who buys them these days are you claiming that you dont buy them? Must say I've seen about 50 odd at your place in the last three years  . And you had the net the whole time!  I definitely would hope for more than the current two. I think a saturdasy afternoon game is in ev...

I cant say i follow the afl as much as you follow the league, as much as i enjoy it  . However two names come to mind plugger lockett and dipper. And who are Peter peters and Georgie Piper? You have listed forwards who played in an era where the game was slower (although the fast men were still...

I think this phase of 5 afl games will end within two years when the bigwigs realise the city loves league more. This is only a very new thing, sydneysider afl supporters barely know the names of teams other than sydney. The coverage of league compared to afl during the weak is very lopsided, be it ...

League growing from strength to strength
Well the super league debacle has set the code back and i know there are many haters amongst us on this site who were happy to see the tall poppy get cut down a little. But league just keeps getting stronger, crowds get bigger, more money is being fed into it, the players are increasing the skill le...

And the most agile code?
Well this one's a little closer IMO. Union is up there but again behind league. AFL at times is quite agile but there is alot more room to move and therefore the winner is rugby league. Players like billy slater have taken agility to a level players of all codes have to stand up and admire. I think ...

What about the fastest code?
In my opinion again i think rugby league takes the cake. Since the ten metre rule started the pace of the game has intensified. Leagues fast men are yards quicker than the afl and union lads, and the game as a whole is full of players in fast motion. And when a break is made the split second thinkin...

Whats the 'toughest' code?
I know rugby has its rucking and mauling and a fair share of tough physical contact, and i know afl has its side on hits and airborne collisions but when it comes to physical contact you've gotta put league as the toughest of the codes. Hard hard men they are and in the top grade you rarely get any ...
