Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds

Dismal crowd at gws looks like sub 5000. Wonder if AngloFL will inflate to over 10,000.

Can you compare the AFL national teams ratings to the Socceroos & Kangaroos
Seeing as you love having a shot at them .
So true. Socceroos at World Cup like SOS gains a national audience. TV ratings don't lie - AngloFL a southern thing only.

Re: Drop-in wickets another example of AngloFL ruining Australia

AngloFL played predominately in well healed areas of city by white private school kids. A move out west would result in crowds similar to plastic gws. Hmmm these clubs in the western Sydney junior league must be busing these kids in. Add to that the senior clubs. And remember these are clubs which ...

That they are now tearing down in Sydney due to crying about it being old  The Sokka World Cup like the Olympics usually don’t bring much benefit to the city’s billions out laid for little return And dead venues that become ghosts venues AngloFL Australia's answer to brexit. Re: State of Origin - the greatest game of all

State of Origin The first 'state of origin' game was an Australian Rules Football game between Western Australia (WA) and Victoria, at Subiaco Oval in Perth on 8 October 1977. In 1989, a crowd of 91,960 saw Victoria beat South Australia at the MCG. This is the highest attendance for any SOO game of...

Re: Drop-in wickets another example of AngloFL ruining Australia

I think we are talking about Aussie Rules being referred to as a southern sport. It has been shown that it clearly is not and is a national sport played across the country in significant numbers.....just like soccer. If you want to think that soccer in Australia is bigger than Aussie Rules ... or R...

Re: Drop-in wickets another example of AngloFL ruining Australia

Yes, I will qualify . When soccer gets the crowds and media coverage Aussie Rules does week in and week out maybe you have a point. Think you’re clutching pointing to marquee games. Adding goal posts again. Just cause global expansion of AngloFL failed doesn't mean you should ignore national teams ...

Re: Drop-in wickets another example of AngloFL ruining Australia

It’s an interesting scenario. I think you are right ... where would the swans play otherwise. Would they threaten to move to spotless ?? Doubt it. They’d certainly have a bumper crowd if they did. Maybe they’ll threaten to have smaller games there ?? But can’t see it. If the afl did have somewhere ...

Re: Drop-in wickets another example of AngloFL ruining Australia

You do realise by citing soccer as also having lots of teams in qld in response to my post with all the Aussie Rules clubs actually supports my point! If they start inferring soccer as being a southern or northern or wherever sport, I think supporters would point to the level that it is played in s...

When soccer gets the crowds Aussie Rules does and membership then maybe you may have a point. It does; A League finals & derbies, International matches, visiting overseas clubs. Socceroos & Matildas have wider appeal on TV. Yes, I will qualify . When soccer gets the crowds and media coverag...
