Typical that the NRL and Wests Tigers would try and latch onto the Swans coat tails. The buzz in Sydney atm is the Swans not the Tigers. Deal with it Scorger. The only reason that the Swans were first on this article was that they play tonight and the West Tigers play on Sunday. It wouldn't ...

It's funny what a cut and paste can do. There is actually more to that article and if one was to count words, there was actually more written about the NRL match between the Tigers and the Broncs.

Don't why your worrying Beaussie, I think the Swans will have more of a chance to win if they play at the SCG. The ground is custom made for the Swans (Smaller then most, if not all, other AFL grounds)and the less amount of seats, the less chance of more Geelong supporters coming up from Victoria. I...

Sebastians' Claim

"How can anything in Melbourne be of secondary priority? Melbourne is your sporting city. Sydney's not your sporting city. Sydney is just where you had your [Olympic] Games. Melbourne is the home of sport. That's where they are going to come out in their thousands." Sebastian Coe, chief of...

Poor iddy biddy Ricky

Is it just me or does Ricky Stuart always have someone else to blame after any team he has involvement with loses. All last year we heard him carrying on about how his Roosters always seem to get a bad deal week in, week out from the referees and again this year but with the added team of the NSW bo...

Swans a thing of beauty, says the man who called them ugly By Michael Cowley June 1, 2005 Page Tools Email to a friend Printer format It's been a difficult year for the Swans. Wins and losses on the park and stinging public criticism of their "ugly" style of play. Now comes the team's most...

National vs International

This one goes out to Beaussie as I'm sure he'd stir on this. In Rubgy League, a player aspires to wear the Green and Gold from when he's knee high to a grass hopper. He hopes one day he can play for his country against other countries that play the same game (and not a half baked combination of two ...

Quarantining of Players is a joke

With the amount of talent that the NSWRL has, why on earth do they quarintine players from games like the City v Country match. Having players like Kennedy and Minnichello not have to play because they (the NSWRL) don't want them getting hurt is a joke. Why should the likes of Hodgson and others eve...

State of Origin in the AFL

Do they still have Victoria v South Australia v Western Australia etc. or has that died in the arse in the AFL? If it does still exist, it doesn't seem to be as big as the State of Origin in the Rugby League or the Super 12s when NSW, QLD or the ACT come up against each other. Actually I think that ...

Swans fans,
as the game on the weekend was actually a Bulldogs home match, did Sydney fans feel that as they wouldn't travel to Melbourne just for a game of AFL, that they felt it wasn't fair if they turn up to the SCG and give support to their team? :?

Re: Televised games

After another beaut game of league last night that went down to the wire again I'm thinking the nrl have picked their televised games smarter than the afl. The melb game was a trouncing and wasnt much to watch geelong played awful and so were some of last weeks televised afl games. Whereas the pant...
