Its exciting to see them competitive, but I dont think people should get too excited about it as i have seen on browsing international league communities like rleague and leagueunlimited for example. There is even talk amongst these communities of a French inclusion in the Tri-Nations next year, wh...

Super 14 - Melbourne or Perth?

Well the previous poll was lost, so here it is again. Vote away on who you think will be granted the next Australian licence. I'm going with Perth as I believe they have proved crowd support will not be a problem. This of course being based on the support shown for rugby internationals in Perth. In ...

Not sure that I agree with that. I think it depends on a person's country of birth or their ethnic origin. Certainly, people from a European background may be more willing to embrace the term 'football' due to their experiences in that continent. I see your point Crocman, however I still believe th...

Well the Kings certainly bounced back into form. It's always good to beat the Pigs particularly when you can provide KE with a reality check that his beloved Pigs are shit. He certainly didn't enjoy the game last night. Sadly it was another disappointing crowd. Officially it was posted as 4,10...

Just to keep you up to date, unfortunately there are problems with the black and gold template that result in the threads not being accessible.

Temporarily we will stick with the blue and white whilst the template problems are rectified.

Re: Where were you when these events occurred?

1. Man landing on the moon (for the real oldies); 2. Dismissal of the Whitlam Government; 3. Death of Elvis Presley; 4. Death of Princess Diana; 5. Cathy Freeman's gold at Sydney Olympics; Can you think of any other major events that could be added to this list? 1. Not born 2. Not born 3. Just a ba...

The solution is simple to the transport issue - just have the Olympics in Sydney every 4 years - there were no problems then!
Hehehehe, in the lead up to the Olympics there were derailments on a weekly basis. During the games though the system functioned perfectly.

Re: People Power Works

The latest Sydney rail protest has shown that people power can actually work if people stick to their principles. The Government realised that it was an impossible situation when faced with many thousands of commuters refusing to buy tickets. They had to back down and declare tomorrow a "fare-...

Soccer Is Not Football Here In Australia

Despite soccer being known as football in most parts of the world. I can't see it ever being referred to as such here in Australia. Recent name changes at Soccer Australia in my opinion will not result the people of Australia embracing soccer as football. Ask anyone on the streets what they consider...
