Sounds terrific in theory to have a surf before work ! But if your are not one of the lucky tiny fractional minority that lives near the beach then a surf before work isn't going to happen. Driving to the beach from somewhere else through heavy morning traffic on conjested roads would leave little t...

Re: And so it begins: Year 3 of the womens mess.
The NRLW error fest only has four teams and still the standard of play is a dreadful embarrassment, that is why they hide the games before the mens main event. Had a little peak at NRLW SOO last year and was shocked to see a professional sports performance of such poor quality tarnish the good name ...

Re: GWS / SUNS >> How much more dollars
A lot of LA celebrities such as Clint Eastwood, John Travolta and The Eagles have loved watching Australian footy when visiting Australia, now they won't need to travel and can watch a game in their home town . As for interest in GWS in Sydney's west it can only go up, might take a few more years to...

Re: Soo revival .....
Great that the AFL are resurrecting State of Origin, players are all behind this match for a worthy cause so hopefully intensity won't be too subdued. Looking forward to this event. All-stars victory. East vs West concept good, and it's great that some NRL posters are finally showing some positive i...

Re: Giant leap: GWS fans clinch deal to buy stadium naming rights
It's a good marketing ploy to name a stadium after the team, however I have reserveations regarding the Giant emblem, it doesn't quite work, too manufactured, too American, it's holding the club back. An authentic moniker based on Sydney culture, flora or fauna would see the club rise to the next le...

Make the most of it sunny bill because when the ten wolfpack investors get tired of losing big money on this franshise it all over. Toronto wolfpack has got some support from English expats but it ends there, RL will never enter into the wide spread sporting culture of Canadian's no more than AFL wi...

Re: Rugby league needs to learn from other sports, especially the AFL and the NFL
The NRL is the most racist sport in Australia but they do a great job of trying to cover it up, they are the great experts at denial . The AFL have dealt with much racist misbehavior out in the open for all to be critical. The NRL must learn from the AFL to be more accountable and transparent and NO...

20 years.
I will take that.
Once the game is exposed to a global tv audience
This will foster interest and growth around the world.

Re: How would you make AFL a less embarrassing looking game?
Football was much more interesting game to watch in the 80s and 90s, the players mostly stayed in their zones . A player would cross through other zones only during a passage of forward play he was instrumental in therefore swarming and congestion was less of an issue. Despite some of the shortcomin...

Get out !
Hook up a caravan and travel right around Australia.
It will soon be apparent to you that most of the country has not embraced RL.
Australia ( most of ) has rejected Rugby League !

We love it in Australia
The Irish love it in Dublin .
Some previous international rules tests have sold out at Croke park, 40000 plus crowd, so the game has its fans.
Should rate ok on tv.

Re: Tassie, here we come....
Sorry haven't contributed for a while, but important thread ! Victorian clubs have sucked the life out of Tassie football and contributed almost zero in return. If Tasmania is not granted their own team then it is a national disgrace. And mglock laim will be seen as the biggest prxxk in an Australia...
