compared to AFL rugby league is a very simple sport to understand. Kick off then run into the wall. Pass it back to someone who runs into the wall. pass it back ... ... after 5 attempts at getting through the wall kick it over the top and let the other team try.

Part of the reason that there are more rugby league viewers is that not very many actually go to a game. It is built for TV. However, AFL supporters are either at the game (tens of thousands bigger crowds - sometimes one AFL game equals 6 NRL games) or watching at pubs/clubs etc!!

It was only the dead rubber - Lots of teams have won the dead rubber when they had already lost the series. Maybe it is time to get rid of this game with all of the demands on the players nowadays. I don't understand why the gold coast is so low!! The Cowboys have members who drive many hundreds of kilometres every weekend they play ta home. Do people in the Gold Coast not really like Rugby League? Do not many people follow league in QLD - only when they are winning!!

I guess the wolfman thought by backing himself to score tries then that would be ok. Don't they make enough money as an NRL player!

Why can so many teams lead so well at half time and then stop playing. What about Cronulla!! 2 weeks in a row they are behind to nil at half time and then they win. The next week they lead to nil and then lose! What the!!

Interesting that the melbourne crowds are down so much. These percentages seem a bit out there!! Hawthorn crowds down 41%? That seems way too much.

This is a bit surprising given the views of people about the state of the game and how people are turning away due to the big mobs chasing the ball like little kids. Maybe people are locked into memberships so you might as well use it!!

It did look like they were going to make it but it is now clear that the young players are still not quite developed enough to be a good solid side. Maybe another year or 2 they will be there.

I assume you mean the largest of everything in Sydney only (not much of a challenge there) - is behind Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth I believe

Maybe instead of creating a new team in Sydney they should have offered the move for a Melbourne club to do it and be financially better off. Same as Gold Coast, should have been a melbourne team (I think North were offered it but rejected the offer).

The financial state of some clubs will make this decision and it ill be to merge. Maybe the Saints could become demons and be tough enough to finally win something!!
