Re: Should the Suns play in Darwin/NT
I agree re: recouping money - but think this is short sighted. The Suns are tracking okay on the gold coast considering the challenges the gold coast market provide for many sporting teams. They do not seem to be anywhere near the issues the Giants have. By playing games at home when they should be...

Re: Should the Suns play in Darwin/NT
The only comparison the NRL has is the Melbourne Storm ( newish team in non traditional area) & rarely they take home games away from Melb if ever its all about $$ the Suns lose money ( heaps) as an operation as do GWS , they both bleed it the AFL owns them both & need to recoup some of thes...

Re: NRL EXPANSION
These are the clubs listed in Sydney as a whole - they list 3 as in Greater Western Sydney and a few in South West Sydney and Western Sydney???? https://sydneyafl.com.au/find-a-club/ Then there is several divisions it would appear across these. They call AFL the 1% sport in Western Sydney ( its par...

Re: NRL EXPANSION
I think the Suns are doing okay. GWS on the other hand - think they need to really focus on endearing themselves to local community. 1. Get rid of the “greater” 2. No home gsmes in Canberra. Could still play in Canberra but as the away team - hawthorn and north could sell their home gsmes instead. ...

Found one for you Azif :) https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/18rq6iz/most_popular_sports_in_australia_by_state/ do take note of the comments though........ the comments are irrelevant, we have deluded fumblers crying because NRL supporters are giving them a dose of reality , I think NT's TV ...

Re: 20th AFL Team - Expansion
I am yet to see anywhere or hear anyone (from NYT) stats rl is the major code in Darwin. Happy to be given a link however to read that does. Regardless - I don’t think it is a viable. Canberra - as Aussie rules has a strong presence and room to grow but still - they would need to get gws out of the...
