Re: Tassie Devils It Is
They already have a bigger following than GWS and The Suns combined. They should have been added to the comp 2 decades ago.

Re: Who or Where is Next?
The fact that there is not one clear choice, is why I believe that there will eventually be 22 teams in the AFL. Out of the leaders, I would choose the Canberra area, to be known as CMM Rams. Canberra-Murray-Monaro, with most home games played in Canberra, 1 in Albury-Wodonga and 1 alternatively in...

Re: Battle Of Brisbane 2024
Will be interesting to see if they add a 5th Queensland NRL side in the next 5-10 years. It would likely be a replacement for the previous South Queensland Crushers.

Re: Who or Where is Next?
Now Tassie is locked in ….. Where will the 20th team be located? My thoughts on viable options Canberra 3rd Adelaide Team Newcastle Less viable A “top end” team based out of Darwin and plays games in Cairns (cairns and surrounds has a strong Aussie Rules following) - A team in regional Victoria - m...

The mascot looks professional at least. More like a NRL or NFL style one.
A lot of the AFL team logo's look very shit. This is probably one of the best.

Re: GWS in the most populated district in Australia and they still need to play in Canberra?
This really says it all. Western Sydney has more people living there than each of these cities, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide. More people than every single individual AFL clubs supporter district. Over 2.6 million live in Western Sydney. Why do they need to play in Canberra too? If the sport was any g...

It is as stupid as suddenly deciding Collinwood will play half their games in Adelaide. Basically the same logic.

Re: GWS / SUNS >> How much more dollars
Homebush was the correct decision, it's central to a large area of Western Sydney. Looking at the map Blacktown is very far out in north west direction and not as easy for fans to commute. Blacktown Giants sounds terrible and would not win any fans. Homebush ( and Canberra ) is the correct location...

Re: The Giants are nobodies in western Sydney!!!!
No doubt most of multicultural western Sydney residents wouldn’t be able to name most NRL players too. Hardly surprising when you look at the demographics. Most don’t even follow sport… well cricket maybe. Haha you are not serious are you? I don't see the Lebanese Muslim Commumity or Pacific Island...

Re: The Dolphins ..2nd year blues or finals
Lions second most supported team in Brisbane, great achievement in RL heartland. Dolphins will struggle on and off the field. They are not a shiny new thing anymore , so passe Struggle? They got a great home crowds considering it's at a suburban ground on the weekend knocking St George out of the w...

Re: Americans don’t give a rat’s ass about the NRL
nRL fans are talking like it is a success already. I think that they are crowing a little bit too early yet. There are people outside the stadium handing out free tickets just to get the crowd numbers up. It has been way more successful than every single AFL overseas exhibition match attempt, even ...
