That sums you up most NRL fans, I have seen or spoken to but some what rough when comparing it to the ...

the pathetic NRL folk trying to attract the AFLs attention again
the only code in Australia or the world that i have seen continue to use the word "war" in a desperate attempt to gain attention. Always attacking with the victim mind set like codes go out of there way to attack them ...

Good. We don't need this americanised stuff. Our entertainment is on the field. NRL has to look outside the field to desperately try and pack a stadium.
I like that the NRL is Americanized. Probably why it has a much cooler image than the AFL and not seen as so woke..

Re: TV RIGHTS KICK OFF
The arguements I hear against an AFL team in Newcastle are the very reasons why I think there should be one there.
The Giants was a massive stuff up from the start. Agree- Canberra needs a team.
Canberra would be successful, they should be AFLs 20th team. Or even if they moved GWS to Canberra ...

The Swans had a 17 year headstart on the Storm though.docker24 wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:57 pmWhat an in depth list! But still doesn't beat the list of nsw born players for the Swans.

I think a team in Newcastle should happen. Makes sense, good population, away from but close enough to Sydney , has AFL in the community already, and plenty of growth in a nrl heartland. I think you’ll see another team in Adelaide, Northern Territory will come in one form or another, and a long ...

If suns win - here right now wt Gabba- they face pies - and of course I’m going the pies.
Lions have done injuries but cover them well. Suns will have benefited from a final under their belt . But lions have a lot of stars. If suns up at 3/4 time by 5 goals still wouldn’t right lions off- if ...

So you have a few extra players in another state of one country lol..
Hardly impressive. Maybe start boasting when you can recruit players from Fiji, England, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea.
Still a sport that continuously fails to gain any traction in overseas markets :lol ...

Re: Battle of Brisbane: Broncos v Lions v Dolphins
Yeah I agree - any sense of AFL taking over is overblown at best. Has it grown considerably - absolutely - but there is still daylight between the two - far less daylight nowadays but still daylight.
Let's be honest, AFL is a pretty niche sport in Queensland. The NRL has twice the amount of ...
