For the past few years I have enjoyed the coverage of the QLD Cup (on ABC). With so many NRL affiliated teams in the competition give this younger players some experience heads around them. Good luck Young Guns in their final season in the comp.

I'm pleased to say that my tipping this year has been a successful one. I won the origin tipping competition put on by the Sunday Telegraph early this year, so I'm thrilled with the outcome for the year.

I agree with the the Manly supporter. Though channel 9 has to pick the games it covers six weeks in advance, blind Freddy could percieve that this game would not be what the viewers/fans want to see, but when it comes to channel 9 when have they done whats right for the fans?

Clearly there would have had to have been a cover up by the NRL or the Newcastle club, as this should NOT have been able to go on for as long as Joey says that it did. Shameful, the touted 'next immortal'.

It was a pretty special event to Iraqi's, a so-called bunch of misfits from the gulf, to win their maiden Asian Cup title. In earlier threads people were stating how overrated the Aussies are, they lost to the eventual winners of the Cup.

Hope this win brings some unity for the war-torn country!!

I think the competition is wide open, as shown by results this weekend. Any team would be capable of beating another team, including the Storm, on any given day. Beware the wounded broncos, players coming back in the lead up to the finals.
