Desperately need to win a few more games and put this behind them.

Re: TV RIGHTS KICK OFF
The next AFL deal should be bigger than any NRL deal.
It only needs an increase of 18 % to beat it, as it currently stands $643 million vs $ 757 million
Does anybody really think that the AFL deal won't increase by more than this margin in several years time. ?
The next AFL deal should easily ...

Re: TV RIGHTS KICK OFF
Just to clarify … 5.3 billion is only for the Australian NRL tv rights.
NZ will add to that in the hundreds of millions
A 20th is built into the deal
The NRL is looking at close to 820mill to 850mill approx a year by 2029
Around 120% increase
and we still have PNG and Telstra Digital and ...

Re: Brain Injuries in the AFL
Often at training an incident involving head contact can result in a concussion just as debilitating as what a player may suffer in a game.
The new rule to come into effect next year will limit the amount of contact during training.

Re: Western Sydney Giants name change
Good to see the AFL come out and commit fully to Western Sydney. Interestingly, the AFL has final say with any potential name change. Games in Canberra with no mention of Western Sydney on the club kit surely goes to the point that the connection with new fans in Western Sydney has not been ‘good ...

Re: AFL exploding in India. Home and away game in Mumbai says stand up comedian The Big Dil.
Plenty of ovals in India.
Would need to be a long term commitment with some big funding to have any chance.
Nothing wrong with having a go. Cannot do any worse than the NRL Vegas debacle.
About time the NRL quit it's Vegas embarrassment, it's become a joke that's not funny anymore , plenty of ...

A very challenging draw and next few weeks for the Suns starting with Hawthorn on Friday night, An away game against Fremantle in Perth next week, before Collingwood on the Gold Coast, and then an away trip to Adelaide to face the Crows.
Should Suns fans be concerned?
Can the Suns play ...

They are rating very very strongly not just because of being top of the ladder but also their style of play is a joy to watch.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2026 4:02 pmPlaying Fremantle in Primetime this year is working a treat..

Wasn't it a Melbourne home game? Plus Melbourne are not a high drawing club either - so I gather this is why they played this game in Alice Springs

Only a completely moronic organisation would fund a team in one of the top five crime capitals of the world.
The American NFL would never fund such an idiotic scheme as to build an expansion club in crime ridden Haiti .

Paramount would have got the broadcast rights extension dirt cheap, nobody to out bid them.
The trouble with the A league is that most of the clubs only appeal to hard core soccer fans and there isn't enough of them to influence the television ratings.

Should I start a thread maybe on black Africans playing AFL at the elite level ? How this number is growing seemingly every year?
