Re: Football Australia in crisis after record $15 million loss
This is the result of the aleague being punted by Fox Sports. As soon as that happened the code was invisible to most of the sports market in Australia. The fact that Paramount were the only bidder has now doomed them to years of mediocrity. The same has happened to Rugby Union. Both codes are in a ...

Re: Blowout scorelines in the NRL are a weekly occurrence
Seems every week, every game has a blowout scoreline. Is this becoming a problem?
Josh Morris admits he has "genuine fears" for the State of Origin series, as blowout scorelines become a weekly occurrence in the NRL

Re: NRL EXPANSION
Agree with all that although still sceptical re: tourism - be a boost initially - but once hype wears off would be surprised.
Also not as convinced re: success long term either
im sure Terry thinks that PNG is like his suburb in Sydney and no idea the PNG is a very less developed country ...

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2026
Not that any Fox/Kayo numbers are available, but I would assume the audience numbers for the AFL would be even bigger considering the massive increase in streaming numbers that have been reported in the past for the AFL since the new broadcast agreement took effect. 😉

Re: AFL 'dick pick' scandal. Yep, you heard that right. How low can this mess go!!!!
There's two stories in todays Herald Sun about this sordid tale. One is about Rachael Griffiths surprise attendance at the hearing. The other is titled, 'AFL in a spin cycle'. Apparently fumblehouse's communication team are spending a lot of time trying to spin this one. To the extent they're hiring ...

Apparently Rachael Ward is accompanying the wife throughout as considering making a movie about all this - very interesting indeed.

Re: NRL EXPANSION
Serious question - do people think this PNG team will create a tourism boon for PNG - will people in large number want to go there given the safety issues ?? Beautiful place and would love to visit someof the islands up that way - but Port Moresby not so keen.
I have been sceptical about PNG ...

Massive news in todays Herald Sun folks. The headline reads: 'IN SAYERS V SAYERS IT IS THE AFL THAT IS REALLY ON TRIAL'. Yep. Exactly what I have been saying from the start. The story outlines a long list of AFL cover-ups, subterfuge, BS and plain lying. Who woulda known lolololol!!!!!
