He's a good administrator for sure. I think both deals include contra so that's not an issue - just a good deal for NRL. I see 9 still get SoO at this stage - which I thought would be worth a lot more to be honest given its status as the premium event/comp in the land.

Plenty of ovals in India.
Would need to be a long term commitment with some big funding to have any chance.
Nothing wrong with having a go. Cannot do any worse than the NRL Vegas debacle.

Something I picked up from recent broadcast deals. The AFL's 2025 financial report (below) show they got $530,766M for broadcasting and AFL media. This is a long way short of their stated $4.5M deal over 7 years. That equates to $643M per year.
