Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds

Is that their average? Anyway - I think it is more helpful to look at averages - not one off games or clubs. Especially expansion clubs. See, this is where you can simply acknowledge that AFL get phenomenally good crowds on average. There is nothing to be lost in this for you - it is simply a fact....

no lockdown in Melbourne this year>> DOWN DOWN>>
do not see it hitting almost 1.7mill Melbournians and another 500k Victorians (2.2mill total)
for the poor buggers in 300 day lockdown. like previous 2 Grand Finals.

Re: Rugby League continues to Lead The Way!

Wow - go 7. So the AFL Grand Final was the number 1 programme for the year? And No 1 winter sport. How do they base that No 1 Winter Sport thing - does it include AFLW - or just the AFL - and how did the NRL fair? Do they count SoO and Tests in the NRL count or are they events? I'll have to read th...

Re: Channel 9 signs $650mill tv Deal

yea , but pussy was saying he thinks gil the dill is including this & naming sponsorship money as well to get it up to that 473 mill a year claim but even that doesn't get them there. Nowhere near it infact they get 18 mill a year for naming rights so with the new mobile digital content deal of...

Re: Channel 9 signs $650mill tv Deal

even if that was correct , the AFL only get 30.5 mill a year for all mobile content & naming rights Foxtel 220 mill PA lets bump that up to 230 to reflect their own view of what they're paying the AFL in 2023/24 "Not much changed from the original pre covid deal " foxtels words not mi...

I think when Gil brags about how much the AFL are getting in 2023-24 hes including Telstra 5g sponsorship money. even if that was correct , the AFL only get 30.5 mill a year for all mobile content & naming rights Foxtel 220 mill PA lets bump that up to 230 to reflect their own view of what they...

Re: Channel 9 signs $650mill tv Deal

I would suspect that if FOX paid more for the NRL than the AFL V’Landys wouldn’t have been able to shut-up about it. Therefore: no. PVL & NRL did a commercial in confidence agreement between the two parties.. i think you should do a good google search on what that actually means. I sti...

Re: Rugby League continues to Lead The Way!

The NRL does have decent crowds compared to Australia’s other football codes, but not with the AFL. NRL has decent crowds outside the big 6 sports leagues in the world. And AFL is inside the big six sports leagues in the world? the argument is you say NRL crowds are low, I state they are not if you...
