Re: Brisbane Lions TV Ratings

I didn't even know it was a bye round in the NRL. It is not the only time the AFL has been on the main channel however I believe. I think if they thought something else would rate better they would put it on so I think it is a significant thing when it is played on the main channel - and also the a...

Re: Rugby League continues to Lead The Way!

I think the fact that the ex USARL clubs that left to join the NARL, have not, or not been allowed to, rejoin the USARL when one league appears to be dead in the water, and the other, although operational, is struggling for teams, speaks volumes for the stae of the game in the USA. The west coast l...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

All I am saying is Metro is one market - Regional/Country is several markets so when Media Buyers buy up blocks of advertising - that is why they look at Metro figures - cause that is their main selling market - where the big coin is. yeah of course, :thumbleft: all i am saying is the power of Regi...

Re: Streaming companies want to broadcast AFL

More money because there are several interested parties bidding for the rights, several, including the NRL aligned 9. Thats why. And when the AFL expands…and it will, even if Tassy doesn't get in, which after a bit of argy bargy, I think they will, it will be more valuable. And as for the code dyin...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

It is the audience you are targeting. With Regional it is a wide area and is sold separately I believe So you have far North QLD and you have Southern Downs area - you are selling packages separately into those areas - but they are quire diverse. for Sport in general, that have there top 10 -15 spo...

Re: Streaming companies want to broadcast AFL

Which is why paramount is a danger/blessing. For the football states they may agree and pay for 5/4 fta to boost up 10 and still get more subscription for plus. I’m still hearing ESPN via Disney is interested. So 9/stan, 7/foxtel, 10/Paramount, ?/disney. And another player…apparently. Foxtel does n...

"a record tv Deal" NRL got a record Tv Deal too Stan Streaming with FOX i doubt AFL would put more games behind a paywall. Which is why paramount is a danger/blessing. For the football states they may agree and pay for 5/4 fta to boost up 10 and still get more subscription for plus. I’m s...

Re: Battle of the Gold Coast - Suns vs Titans

Yeah - as said - don't put too much credence in membership numbers. Count only full year memberships and okay. But these 1 game (NRL), 3 game etc are silly. full season members should only Qualify 11 AFL game members 12 NRL game members I don't disagree, membership should be based on home games to ...
