the networks basically pay for an AFL H&A season not much else
the NRL is the dominate code in the 1st and 3rd advertising dollar markets so realistically the deals arent even close and never has been

you do realise the previous deal was done with the Dolphins factored in. the TV excs arnt stupid like azif seems to think and there is that much work goes in the back ground & PVL would have sold this to the networks

they could go 6 with STV , but not with FTA as Ch 9 will get no further benefit from a 9th game ,
so the new FTA rights deal will be from 2028
still
DAZN may be keen to tie up the STV rights through to 2032 with a 6 year deal for 2.4 billion ish
that would mean the NRL's 2027 media ...

they should be able to claw back some loss tv money...
Or they may even sign a 6 year Tv Deal (which would benefit the NRL even more)
