Re: Origin II was one of the worst games of rugby league
yup, very boring game full of niggle. Rabbits is 100% right, but the thing is one of our boring games outrated every single AFL game this year and last.... how unfortunate.

Re: State of Origin: Jarryd Hayne could play NFL tomorrow
the NRL sold out a stadium in melbourne this year. that's awkward. And there have been other sellouts too, Para sold out a home game. that ANZAC day game sold out 45k or whatever. Sold out Eden Park for 90k over 2 days in a preseason tournie. But yea, can't fill out a ground dipshit. I mean if we'r...

State of Origin: Jarryd Hayne could play NFL tomorrow
REGGIE Bush has a Los Angeles pad on the market for $6 million. He has a Super Bowl ring. Won, then forfeited, a Heisman trophy. Even went out with Kim Kardashian. In short, it takes more than a little to shock him. “But this guy — wow,’’ the NFL running back exclaims now, watching as a highlights r...

Re: NRL in Perth - Where is the interest in a WA based team?
20k ground record in perth not bad. give em 3 games next season. wasnt there supposed to be some new 40-50k stadium completed in the next few years there? would be a great base for western force and the new perth NRL team so they can pull some bumper 30k+ crowds when perth plays warriors and south s...

Re: New hi-tech plan for Allianz Stadium has footy fans cove
A $250 million plan is being proposed to transform the out-of-date Allianz Stadium into a hi-tech, fully-roofed entertainment facility to help Sydney’s sports teams shore up their financial futures. A new master plan for the 44,000-seat venue at Moore Park includes upgraded seating, quality food ou...

Re: oi .... wheres the MCG origin thread ?
How would Melbourne and the MCG have been affected by that, goose? Excuses, excuses! you're probably right seeing as those ********* live in a bubble & wouldn't have known about a sports story that made headlines around the world because it didn't have singlets & tiny tight shorts :-k ...

Re: 8,000 tickets remain unsold for State of Origin
perfect pricing would be if all tickets sold out simulatenously at kickoff. That means they've maximised revenue relative to people's willingness to pay for SOO tickets. As long as the total crowd figure is more than 180k for the 3 games that's good pricing. But, prices have risen exceedingly quickl...

Re: 5 Consecutive Years of Declining Crowds for Gold Coast N
titans game looked empty cause it was almost 40 C and everyone was in the shade which was also the side of the cameras. Therefore, the cameras were faced towards the sun filled side of the stadium with few people in it. Same deal for tigers vs dragons, i was there and that number seems about right. ...

Re: VFL fans react to their disasterous opening rnd
Whilst there was indeed a large drop, the average for round 1 in the AFL it is still more than 10,000 ahead of the NRL average after three rounds. However the NRL average, if it's maintained, will be the best ever and that can only be good for them and for competition. You know nothing about rl, AF...

Re: NRL vs A-League in Sydney
eh, 2013 to 2014 numbers isn't the best comparison. i'd prefer 2011, 12 13 and 14 numbers to see a trend properly. last year would have been inflated a lot by the SBW effect, first game back in league was hyped up quite a lot. also this game was delayed into QLD which would have easily added in 50-1...

1.5 billion for AFL, i suspect 1.3 billion for NRL with far better access for viewers leading to better ratings and 1.7 billion in 8-10 years from now. i'm loving this new management, fiscally strong, marketing and management solid too. Hopefully they work on the on field stuff slowly as well. damn,...
