Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2026

I no longer care to engage rugby league supporters of any kind. You arent interested in genuine discussions and I couldnt give a fuck what you think about my data productions anymore - even though it follows the standard Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon data releases, you lot see conspiracies where none exist and i ...

So its fair to say both sports get Telstra money but only one includes it in their 'broadcast' deal announcement. Thus inflating/increasing the announced number. You with me sooks??
The NRL cant include things it doesnt sell. Its that simple. Anything else is spin from the NRL fandom and media.

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2026

His expert opinion seems to defer with Oztam and Seven. Oh And Nine who incidentally put this out in their marketing to brands.

Each week the NRL on Nine draws in a passionate audience of footy fans – 13.4 million Aussies have tuned in to the 2026 season to date, up +6.2% YoY, while the NRLW ...

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2026

I don't know sooks. But where you said, "Average ratings aren't everything" what did you mean pal?? Do you agree with TV industry expert Rob McKnight who said, " However, true industry success and actual ratings wins should only be judged by the average audience size".

And what did you mean ...

who the fuck was talking about reach? I dont believe in reach either, but average audience is not the only driver behind media rights.

Case most definitely not closed.

Haha!! That's because you've got a very short memory beatup lolool. And a hopelessly biased one. The NRL leads FTA numbers pal. Fact. And slaughter's fumbling on Fox/Kayo. Cherry picking is easy for types like you and your dear mate sooks loloolololol!!!!

Go well beatup.

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2026

AFL sunday is becoming a real issue..
playing 3 games with teams into there home states( ya need bigger figures than what we are currently seeing)
and this sunday's figure is on the high side.

Seven at least seem happy enough with their Sunday ratings. Christ knows why Foxtel dont arc up about ...

Re: Brisbane Stadium - Victoria Park

That's true sooks. But the NRL genuinely shares stadiums with other sports. Eg. Allianz stadium which is home to 1 (soon to be 2) RL clubs. The Waratahs and Wallabies and Sydney FC. Even a small ground like Leichhardt have RL, RU and soccer. North Sydney Oval and Henson park have RL, RU and AFL ...

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2026

Thanks for that sooks. Very detailed. So it would be correct to say that whatever way folk want to describe the Telstra deal the money for it was included in the broadcast deal when announced???

Sure.

And whilst Telstra don't show live games, thus don't account for any TV ratings, they do show ...

what did everyone think of the Aus v Ireland game
the 1st of it's kind in AFL vs another country at actual AFL rules.

for me, i am not sure what it rated or anything,

but for me, in the women's i would have a 3 game series.

Yep. They certainly are sooks. And deep down you know its true. They throw a pittance and reap the reward piggy backing off other sports. Parasites they are.

Thats certainly an odd take given the long term contracts signed by the AFL when they contribute funding, not to mention AFL attendances ...

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2026

So the AFL inflate their broadcast deal by adding Telstra to the announced numbers sooks? This is where you do well pal. Right or wrong?

Yes and No. The AFL do actually sell digital media rights to Telstra - they have done since 2002, only now they dont have live AFL match broadcasts for an ...
