Not necessarily. If two like bodies fund everything they want/need the one with the greater comprehensive profit has had the better year. It is of course subjective as to what the wants/needs/aspirations may be. And I'm pretty sure what side of the ledger you would come down on lolololol!!!

the second graph is helpful but not definitive. If profit was solely the motive of the AFL, theyd distribute less. Operational profit for the AFL is still higher than anyone else by miles.
