Re: How does it feel knowing Australians embraced Rugby League yet English rejected AFL?

Link no less reputable than a lot of sources including footyindustry.com. 17% figure listed on a number of sites including official NRL. actually its a lot less reputable - not least because if i post a figure like that I cite/link the source, so perhaps youd be so good as to provide some of these ...

Re: How does it feel knowing Australians embraced Rugby League yet English rejected AFL?

the fucking cumberland throw hahahahaha

get me an actual source ffs cause this one uses the 12% figure from 2011 and appears to have invented the 17% one - I simply cannot find another source for that data.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

The actual gap has remained the same coming off very much lower bases. The NRL is now a 1/2B a year business and the AFL 3/4B. The percentage gap has closed significantly. and in real terms the gap hasnt closed at all. As for the rest who cares?? You have opinions like every other mug here. Nothing...

Re: How does it feel knowing Australians embraced Rugby League yet English rejected AFL?

Rugby League is game of choice for Indigenous Australians. NRL has 12% of players of Indigenous background compared to 9% in anglofl. 17% of all registered Rugby League players in Australia are Indigenous - the highest of any code. The biggest Indigenous gathering in the world each year is the Koor...

There's 14 players from Sydney in league - stop acting like it's a hotbed for anglofl. That's on lists, not playing week in & out.
Mate your one the one doing all the assumptions here. the rest of us are just along for the ride.

KE on the other hand is gone forever.
KE isnt banned. Neither is RaiderDave or any of them. Just like you were allowed to come back. Bans are pretty much always temporary and more of a roadblock for shit posters than a final solution.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

Thanks for that Wookie. I must have missed the bottom line of the 2018 reports. None the less my point stands. In 2012 the NRL's revenue was 39% that of the AFL's. In 2018 it was 65%. The gap is being reduced since the Commission has taken over. In the meantime, the actual gap has stayed relatively...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings

The NRL could and should do better with sponsorship but the difference in total revenue gets less each year. 2012: AFL 471M v NRL 185M. 2018: AFL 668M v NRL 500M. Ok. Actual 2012 Figures NRL Consolidated Revenue $185,668,000 (NRL last year of broadcast deal) AFL Consolidated Revenue $471,493,000 (A...
