Re: AFL v NRL Consolidated Revenue 2012-2016

Fred the AFL is buying this asset to help and lower rent of the struggling Melbourne clubs.
That Profit imo will only go south once the AFL does ...

Re: AFL v NRL Consolidated Revenue 2012-2016
SOL revenues are about 79 million a year, whether that includes that is net of AFL funds is not known. In theory, the league could add 70 million + to its consolidated revenues next year, and its asset base will go through the roof.
Wow step back everyone, the AFL has the ability to borrow ...

Re: AFL v NRL Consolidated Revenue 2012-2016
Since 2012 the NRL revenue has gone from
NRL 2012 185m To 2016 391m adding 206m in revenue in 4 years.
AFL 2011 382m to 2016 569m adding 187m in revenue in 5 years.
NRL more than doubled its revenue in that time. The gap is closing boys.

Codes in NSW
1.RL
2.Football/soccer
3.Cricket
4.Union
5.AFL
I agree with 1 and 5 but putting cricket in the mix is a bit problematic. In actual fact it's our only truly national game so could arguably be 1 in every state. For the sake of this thread I would put it 2.
Based on

Re: AFL TAKES OUT $280 MILLION LOAN
Now that we own Etihad Stadium, time to jack the rental prices up for other codes wanting to use it. Nice move AFL. :thumbleft:
You do realize the Victory can just play hard ball in summer and play out of AAMI, they also signed a 10 year deal with Etihad which has to be honored. That leaves the ...
