Re: Footy Crowds - 2024

Anyone got the crowd figures for the footy last night? Looked pretty packed, as you’d expect for a showdown I guess.

Re: AFL ANZAC DAY - Got My Tickets.

Was a great day - actually whole week was amazing - father son bonding time. The game was great of course - the lunch before hand at AIA training centre, the darn service in the morning at the shrine. And Melvourne even turned on the weather - no rain and sunshine (and still cold but in a nice, tug ...

Re: Footy Crowds - 2024

the crowd in Tassie was a real eye opener perfect weather but a crowd that would of embarrassed the A league , i think this is what the future holds when the novelty wears off after 5 years with an under performing team in a small city struggles. no wonder the AFL was adamant they didn't want a tea...

Re: Footy Crowds - 2024

Geez - maybe taking games away from Tassie now they are getting a team - under 5000 is extremely low - obviously they are now waiting for “their” team - which you can’t blame them but still - that’s a crap crowd. And the Suns - watch a bit at Crown sports bar today - ordinary game and crown sucks so...

Re: Footy Crowds - 2024

What was the crowd at Manuka yesterday ? Seemed pretty full on the TV. Dunno Freddo. But the joint only holds 12k so even a sellout is nothing to write home about. holds 14,500 crowd was 13,080 https://www.austadiums.com/ was apparently a sellout maybe wasn't capacity tho Yeah - on tv looked packed...

Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2024

i think its just a typo , a mistake the afl night game had a reach of 1.093 mill , not 2 plus mill, that makes no sense at all if it isn't a simple typo. the AFL would be bitterly disappointed with those numbers for their marquee H&A game of the year , the defending premiers & a close conte...

Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2024

https://x.com/footyindustryAU/status/1783710761505947795 These numbers are a good reason why reach should be totally ignored. The night AFL game is listed at No. 2 with reach of 2.093M and avg. of 466k. Whilst the day game had a reach of 1.958M and avg of 895k and is listed at 3. The day game had a...

Re: Footy Crowds - 2024

Amazing crowd at the “G” yesterday. I was a bit bemused at only 93000 and didn’t seem like a spare seat in the house - we were wondering where the extra 7 thousand would fit. But anyway - just amazing to see almost 100000 people fall silent for a minute. Incredible.

Re: former president of WADA slams AFL an unclean sport

So we now find out 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive to a banned drug before the Tokyo olympics. They were tested by Chinese authorities not WADA and withdrawn from competition. Sounds familiar doesn't it!!! It seems the AFL is in line with Chinese Communist Party drug testing regimes. You know -...

Will be interesting to see if they add a 5th Queensland NRL side in the next 5-10 years. It would likely be a replacement for the previous South Queensland Crushers.

I think it could be accommodated quite easily - maybe out to Ipswich area.
