I think they’ll go well. They are in an NRL city with an already strong supporter base that has built over the years. It”d be like putting Norwood in the AFL - of course they would have lots of support.

Possibly. The question is do the NRL continue with it. There was the same situation in the AFLW where a player refused to wear the gurnsey for pride round so not unique to Rl, but it is a good question with no definitive right or wrong with suitable arguments in both sides I think there is a right ...

Seems that way. Was hoping the individual league forums would see more mature conversations as the excuse in the Fighr Club is it’s a fight club therefore people I thought acted boorish and childlike - hence only the boorish and childlike are left. I think anything over 20000 is a good crowd for the Lions when versing Melbourne generally so if they get over 20000 this weekend would show a decent rusted in base.

I cant believe the AFL decided to put the Lions Melbourne game on the same night as first Rugby League derby. I am sure they are regretting it now & I am not looking forward to trying a getting an Uber to the Gabba Friday night. It is going to be a long wait as I don't think Brisbane as a city ...

Just under 86000 last night - would have loved to see 90000 but still a good crowd.

Already off to a great start with over 88000 people at one game - yes - 1 game. On a week night too! Tonight they are tipping a larger crowd - could it break 90000 or will it disappoint and get much lower? I think anything under 88000 is going to be a let down - but realistically anything over 80000...
