Re: Battle of the Gold Coast
Crowd was just over 22000 which was a bit dissapointing - but still good. What was good was there was plenty of suns supporters there - and passionate ones - still massively favoured the pies but way more than previous games where is was like 90 percent pies supporters.

which was $10.00 plus $7 ticketek fee.
I went to a Collingwood game last year and paid $23.00 total for tier 1

Re: Battle of the Gold Coast
As I thought - the suns have just released a limited amount of tickets - so I guess they reconfigured the seating or got rid of some promo area or something.

Re: Battle of the Gold Coast
They are expecting about 24000 - hoping to break the record which is just over 24000 - which for all intents and purposes is a sell-out. Holds 25000 it says but think a lot of that is standing room. I did hear that they have configured the ground to allow more standing room - although as you cannot ...

Re: Suns - Is it finally the year?
Big game this Friday. Reported all seats exhausted but as usual I am sure there will be seats empty to some degree. Expect it to be 80 percent Pies supporters - and a boon for the local economy with it being school holidays and a few thousand travelling up for the event. I'll be there with my son ...

Agree- a nice precinct - a hotel to stay in, shops, bars etc. Although they'll want to avoid a dockland's situation - that place is desolate.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Mon Jul 07, 2025 10:49 amVIctoria Park looks a ripper >> key to its success Bars and Restaurants in its surrounds (even shops etc)

Re: AFL & NRL Footy Crowds - 2025
75000 at Carlton v Pies - whilst a decent sized crowd - a bit dissapointing - Carlton home game doesn’t help given how they are going - first crowd between the two since covid below 80000.

Re: Brisbane Stadium - Victoria Park
On the news the other day they interviewed an ex premier Newman?…was leading a group of local greenies trying to have the construction stadium stopped and built in another location. Has this gained much traction or still making any noise?
It will be like the Albert Park protesters - they'll ...
