Re: Its " official" the WA Bears are in for 2027

Yeah - any sense of the bears being simply a transplanted east coast team or of being treated poorly by east coast and it’s the bye bye bears. It needs to be seen as a perth team above anything else .

I hate it when Gold Coast play in Northern Territory too - takes the team away too long and ...

Re: Footy Crowds - 2025

Was at the Gold Coast game today. Was weird as all the members areas were quite full - like all the corporate area was about 85 percent full and behind the goals at grandstand in also a lot more than usual. Yet where I stand usually it is chokers (mainly opposition supporters who aren’t members of ...

Yes - Perth bears it should be. Never liked the concept of west coast eagles either - not greater western Sydney - and bring back Footscray :)

Re: Storm - welcome to country

I just don’t see how it hurts or devalues anything - in fact, I think it enriches us as a society bringing into it parts of a culture we have long ignored .

Storm - welcome to country

Apparently a mix up and storm have apologised - but interesting in reading social media comments of many people having enough of this - I like it and think it is good to embrace a cultural tradition going back 1000s of years and is unusually ours. I think most of the anti comments fall into two ...

Re: Footy Crowds - 2025

Giants crowd tonight looks packed - it’s in Canberra so I don’t really see this as a good thing per se - when you have more support in csnberra than you do in the area you’re meant to represent I think thst it concerning. Either embrace western Sydney or move to Canberra.

Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2025

What the two extra teams do is fill time slots/hours as well - which is quite valuable - so extra dollars for sure.

I think you’ll get initial interest in Perth - but they’ll need to be successful. I think the other thing to be careful of for the nrl that it is not seen as a Sydney team - the ...

Re: Footy Crowds - 2025

3 years running freddy, again the NRL does not include its 3 biggest games for the year in this figure either.
NRL could get with ease 25k a round if a few grounds were upgraded and not capped.

I think they are looking at home and away ? No finals, no grand finals. And isn’t SoO ARL ...

Re: Footy TV Ratings - 2025

So we will never know the actual ratings overall? Well any discussion on ratings and who is “winning” is pointless than?

NRL cracking the 20000 game average thus far this season - well done.
