remember when fweddy got all excited a few years ago , the NRL was hammering the aflol in the TV ratings during the season &

fweddy just couldn'th fathom that it would continue through the finals so he put up a thread in a pathetic attempt to see if the fumblers could finally win something
he genuinely believed the noodle armers couldn't lose

well
8-[

the singlet brigade got murdered , destroyed ... had the shit kicked out of them ... again

    :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

fweddy has been in hiding ever since , only occasionally posting .. derping the show up with utter nonsense every now & then

so its up to me to put the thread up this year

the aflol had their 1st final last night .... clear air .. no NRL to compete with & I'm sure they would have been expecting big ratings
well
gotta say
it was pretty.... underwhelming 8-[
Metro FTA 733K
maybe 250K regionals
Foxtel 281K
kayo est 196K

total ...a pretty average 1.460 Mill

comparison with the opening final in 2022 on a Thursday but up against the final round of the NRL H&A
1.6 million
oh dear :-k

the NRL kicks off their finals tonight with a monster opening final
Brisbane Broncos V Melbourne Storm from Suncorp stadium
sold out crowd & should rate its boobies off

The fumblers have their 2nd final of 2023 on tonight from the MCG involving the Swines

should be very interesting as to who wins

both audiences in Syd & Melb for the Swines & Storm would have been fairly similar when STV is factored in

high uptake of subscriptions for Storm fans
very , very low uptake for Swines fans

comparing the 2 finals last night up against last years efforts
the 1st final for the NRL in 2022 , an all Sydney affair between Penrith & Parramatta rated about 1.4 million

the 2nd final of the 1st week of finals on the Friday night the oopsies & misses ( again , up against the final round of the H&A for the NRL)
rated around 1.8 mill

so the aflol finals for 2023 are already around 500K down on 2022 for week 1
2022 3.4 mill for the first 2 finals
2023 2.9 mill
8-[

while the NRL is 100K up after their first final

Reg est 175K

STV
foxtel 220K
kayo est 154K
total..... 1.160 mill .... woweeee

afternoon
Pen V NZ
FTA metro

BVOD 40K
Reg est 175K

STV

last nights game
FTA metro
334K
BVOD 50K

STV
foxtel 263K

the NRL will finish with about 4.6 mill in Aust & 4.9 mill with NZ added for their 1st week of finals

down from 5.5 mill in 2022
disappointing , but with no big Sydney sides playing ( Parra , Souths ) , understandable

the AFLOL has no such excuses for the disastrous ratings they put up
1.9 mill down
eff me    :(/ :(/

So an AFL ratings win isn't a win because it’s AFL?

True. This finals series will be soft ratings due to 5 non Sydney sides in it and no big Sydney team.

The fumbling code have no such reasoning. They’re just tanking plain and simple!!!!

itll get worse for the NRL next week Tez
they're doing the right thing ... again .. looking after our Kiwi cousins & playing the final between the wahs & knights at 3pm our time , 5pm their time will cost the NRL 100's of thousands of casual viewers in Aust

but

this mob from across the ditch held the comp together by relocating to Australia for 2 years during covid &
we're ( the NRL) looking after them
i cannot understate how big this final will be

the NRL
Australiasia's biggest comp

So the AFL ratings win doesn’t count because the AFL won,
And because a lot NRL people don’t watch the NRL but their clubs?
Its lucky for the AFL that none of their north eastern clubs were involved in the finals, we know from your diatribe that they have no followers, because their ratings would have been ……… oooops.

you stupid fumbling twerp

the aflol had a miniscule win in Aust because the NRL changed its scheduling , & probably didn't win when NZ's ratings are added

the story here tho is the aflol's ratings were an astounding .... gob smacking ... 1.9 Mill down on last years opening week of finals
lets discuss that shall we

the perennial silver medalists doing what they do eh ?
