It's plain stupid for bumsniffing wookie to be comparing ratings to previous years before kayo and 9now numbers come out. It's a totally pointless exercise. Then again it is bumsniffing wookie so anything's possible.

he couldn't post that it was the 2nd lowest ratings for an opener quick enough

if it was the 2nd highest , we'd still be waiting for that fact next week     :(/ :(/

true
lets look at the figures there for the thursday openers with something wookie doesn't possess , perspective

2016 . 2017 & 2018 no streaming at all so thats all reportable numbers there for those years

2019 while theres no streaming numbers there on that list , it is new & wouldn't have altered that figure much
2020 streaming is just beginning to get some traction & may have added a few to that figure
2021 really the first year with some impact & would have contributed another 10% or more to that number
2022 15% more when everyone is counted ?

rugby league streaming will continue to build this year.. it is a guarantee
I look forward to FOX Streaming being included in Sub numbers (soon)

after a disastrous few weeks.
crowds and ratings were a pass mark

Well as usual I am correct. It is pointless stupidity to compare year by year TV ratings before kayo numbers are known. Kayo has been releses and Kevin Perry from TV Blackbox reports that NRL round 1 2022 was the all-time highest performing regular season round on the Foxtel group with a massive average of 473k per game.

Tigers v Storm was the highest regular season game of all time coming in with 547k - incredible!! The average is up 15% on R1 2021. It means the round will top 5M in total viewers. Poor 'ol bumsniffing wookie will be very busy wiping that giant omelette of his face lololol!

Great start to the year for the greatest game of all!

My simple point, bumsniffer, is that it's pointless comparing ratings when kayo is not known. As you have now found out. It just makes you look silly. I trust you will take this sound advice into the future.
