Maybe it was more along the lines, he wanted a team that wins,
than GWS Folou Experiment losing by 100 playing in front of no one.
and I am pretty sure it was the 10 year deal that got him across the line.

It does make me laugh the go home factor with these AFL players.post_hoc wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 9:47 amHow soft are these AFL players, they can't be a 1 hour flight 1000 km from 'home' Jesus, Football players travel the globe, Aaron Mooy left home to play in England when he was 15. Cahill was 17 I think.AFLcrap1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 6:23 pmStrong go home factor . I’d like to see them drop the silly GWS name too and identify more as simply Western Sydney Giants. Sounds silly when you hear commentary refer to them as GWS.
Poor little mummy boys can't be away from home .
Can't they get on a 2 hr flight to go see mummy if they miss them .
A pathetic excuse
Doesn't seem to worry RL players signed by Melb .
Maybe we breed them a bit tougher .
Nathan Walker who just won the Stanley Cup with Washington left home to play in the Czech Republic when he was 14.
All of these guys are bigger stars than any AFL sook. Toughen up
167Milllllion bucks. Wow, I was right when I said the Afl could bring several small nations out of poverty with the cash they’ve drained into the team they called Greater Western Sydney.... who by the way aren’t based in and don’t play their home games in greater western Sydney.leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 11:11 amGiants say $167m investment will pay off
THE AFL will pour another $23 million into Greater Western Sydney this season — taking the total investment in the expansion club beyond $167 million. But after seven seasons, Giants chairman Tony Shepherd insists they are on track “to become a fully viable club.

COLA CAP
there's no doubting the 'go home' factor is killing the Suns. They continue to lose quality players back to their home statesleeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 10:26 amDOES AFL NEED TO REVIVE COLA TO SAVE SUNS?
THE AFL has been urged to bring back the controversial cost of living allowance and give Gold Coast up to an extra $2 million a year in its salary cap to help save the embattled club.
