THE LEAGUE will use its new high-octane format, AFLX, to make a significant push into China and India in the future.

The AFL hasn't yet set a timeline for when it might attempt to introduce AFLX into the Asian market, but it is keen to get participation programs up and running in those regions.

Chinese broadcaster Guangzhou TV also aired regular AFL games during the 2017 home and away season, as well as last year's Grand Final.
Port Adelaide, in conjunction with the AFL, has also set up football programs at 15 schools in Shanghai.
India on the other hand is relatively untapped by the AFL, despite having the world's fastest growing economy.

What do you think about the afls plans for expansion into Asia nlol? Is it gunna be huuuuugggge? you reckon they'll give the new Asian teams a bit of ahem *cough rental assistance *cough. ??

I'd say food allowance would be a better idea . Seeing as a large chunk of the crowd at the last Chinese game spent their time out the back eating .

line breaks....is that when someone runs past a heap of guys standing still? The time the play doesnt actually end in another boring tackle?

Will there be more or less substitutes in this? Asking someone to run flat out for 10m is downright cruel.

The insular afl has long sought solace or, better put, the holy grail in the Asian market. And they've failed miserably, time after time, year after year. Aflx will be no different. It's terribly funny. But, it's also sad. The afl could be spending this money on supporting Aborigjnal players from remote communities and reducing the widespread institutional racism the organisation is plagued with.

I mean, they've called this aflx "high octane" seriously how fukkin dumb are these clowns?
