Hey, anyone watch offsides last Sunday? They mentioned the lack of media coverage in England and something about how the media has been about the lack of media coverage. The English journalist made comment that Rl is very regional in England being played mainly in the north ... the other commentator commented that it was the same here... regional. I had never thought about it like that before but is a good observation.

LOL the ABC >>

just a quick mention

2 million people tuned to the rugby league world cup final in England at 9am kick off on the BBC

* which was against the ASHES
* and 9am kick off

imagen prime time & no Ashes Cricket.

With the two million BBC viewers who watched the final and the England fans inside Suncorp Stadium daring to believe until the last tackle that the 2021 hosts World Cup hosts could also be the holders of the Paul Barriere Trophy, interest in the next tournament is strong.

Its the same as Union> which is mainly played in the south>
with League strong in the North.

it is only soccer that is popular all around the country>
so abit like Cricket (in our great country)

think of it like AFL and NRL

Dutton said 39 towns and cities across England had expressed interest in hosting matches during the 2021 World Cup

80 per cent of matches would be played in the code's northern heartland, with Hull, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester almost certain to be among the host cities

Yet afl is played right across Australia in vast numbers.
