Tennis! :(/

Just Get a look at this future afl champion!

The decision to pick footy looks likely to pay dividends at the national draft later this month.

In just a couple of years, Ross has established himself as a likely draftee. A wide-roaming forward/wingman, Ross likens himself to Adelaide's Tom Lynch
.

Yep, we've had players walz on into the the top tier of Aussie rules, the afl, coming from amateur and pro rugby league, amateur basketball, amateur Canadian rugby union, amateur Gaelic football and now it looks like... Junior tennis!! :(/ :(/ :(/

I honestly won't be surprised if an amateur 14 year old chess player is a top ten afl draft pick by 2022.

How do you afl fans sit with the mockery that is the elite afl comp? Just a coupla years practice and pretty much any old shmuck or kid can get in! :(/  :\: :\:  :(/

except he's entering the draft only, he hasnt even been drafted yet.

He played aussie rules in under 10's, 11's and 12's, was an elite junior tennis player for the next 4 years, then took aussie rules up seriously again for the last 2. Clearly the kick has great athletic ability and hand eye co-ordination

So, as usual, KE creates another laughable thread. The AFL didnt scout him from tennis, he dropped a potential tennis career to focus on aussie rules for the last 2 years, and has shown enough promise to enter the draft. Doesnt even mean he will be drafted, or if he is that he will even play a senior game, or if he does, that he will be a regular player.

Fail KE, fail :drunk:

How funny would it be if he made a successful career out of afl!

I mean players have come across from other sports and made a successful career in the afl!

Then we have the two finest from the nrlol!
Both considered greats of their code tried their hand at afl and both failed so pathetically! Folau was on stats the second worst player in the competition by the time he was done! Now both hunt and Folau are starring in union :)))

Look afl boys, you gotta admit it's a bit worrying when someone only needs a few years practice and hey presto you're in the afl!

It just happens too often. I mean izzy folou hadn't touched a sherrin in his life, a year and a bit later and he's being lauded by afl greats and is definitely not seen as the worst player in the very top tier of the comp.

Mike pike? and now this pipsqueak tennis junior who's barely played afl too? I mean Common now!

This subject clearly outlines why Aussie rules continues to grow at such a rate. Anyone can have a go if they want to. And more and more........ And more........ And more...... And more are having a go, and lovin' it!

Good luck to him I say. I look forward to seeing him listed some day.
