RL had an indigenous carnival this weekend to celebrate our indigenous players & their heritage .


Not ONE banana was to be seen

Just a great day for all .
The women even had a match against the Maori indigenous team .

To top it all off Adam Goodes was invited to speak
Apparently he wasn't booed at all by anyone

No ape jokes were told .

He must have thought this is a nice change from that racist sport that booed me outa the game .

Goodes also took a pragmatic approach to the targeted racist abuse directed at him from some supporters throughout his career and encouraged NRL players who faced similar issues to do the same, aiming for an educational and conciliatory approach.

"I don't blame people for the views they have," Goodes said.

"They need to learn a little bit more empathy, learn a little but more about indigenous culture because it's a very inclusive culture.

"The people that do frown upon us, look down upon us, say negative things about us - come walk in our shoes, come live a day in our life and see if that might change your mind."

Goodes also had high praise for the inclusive approach the NRL and rugby league community took regarding indigenous culture through events such as the current festival and also the annual Indigenous All Stars fixtures.

"I think the NRL and these guys that are part of the camp over the weekend, the indigenous boys, they've got a real opportunity to help mould the NRL and future generations," Goodes said.

"[They can] make the competition for future Indigenous men coming through a really positive experience about celebrating culture and celebrating who we are, where we come from and even though we're from all different parts of Australia we can come together and celebrate the way we do."

Lol it's only pre season & the southern ALL WHITEY BALL fans are at it already.

The AFL have announced that they are investigating an alleged incident of racial abuse in the crowd at West Coast and Port Adelaide's JLT Community Series clash at Leederville Oval in Perth.

Late in the final quarter of the Eagles' two-point win, a Power fan allegedly racially abused a group of West Coast fans during an argument.





The Port fan reportedly called the group "n****s" after being asked several times to tone down their language during the game.

An AFL spokesperson released a statement on Sunday night.

"The AFL does not tolerate anti-social behaviour on any level, and it will be dealt with as swiftly and quickly as possible."

It's not the first time a Port Adelaide fan has been at the centre of a racist controversy.

Crows star Eddie Betts was the subject of a racist online rant from a Power fan early last season, while another fan threw a banana at him during a Showdown in 2016.

As for Goodes, he was booed for being a tool. It had nothing to do with his colour. Proof I hear you ask? Well show me another indigenous player who was regularly booed. I can show you plenty of caucasian players who were booede. Maybe it's because they also had on white parent.

Second for expressing his culture in response to the overwhelming and unprecedented booing any afl player has ever received and probably any professional sports player in the history of sport on earth ... and possibly a the galaxy.

there have been other indigenous players who have called out racism who didnt get booed for it. There have been other indigenous players who have expressed their culture. None have been booed.

Michael long and Nicky Winmar both stood up against racism in a time when racism was far more common, and they were never treated like Goodes was.

Furthermore, Goodes was booed for most of his career once he started sniping people behind the play while pretending to be faultless.
