More bad news for Rugby: The Vic Govt will not finance a Rugby centre of excellence and may cancel Bledisloe cup and other international games if the Rebels are closed down. And the ACT Govt has said that if the Brumbies are culled they will not go ahead with a planned 350mill stadium in the CBD.
There is no good news anywhere for Rugby.....it's lose, lose, lose, lose, lose. Silly Billy Pulver has been in hiding lately, he'd better show his head shortly and tell us what his plan is, if he's got one.

Ok Great, hopefully the Brumbies stay, would be a wonderful stadium especially Indoor stadium
for Canberra conditions.

The rebels are privately owned and the brumbies are the most successful australian franchise. Logical choice will be the force.Terry wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2017 10:36 amMore bad news for Rugby: The Vic Govt will not finance a Rugby centre of excellence and may cancel Bledisloe cup and other international games if the Rebels are closed down. Will be a lot of disappointed South African expats if the Force go. There is a big community there.rugby365 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2017 5:56 pmThe rebels are privately owned and the brumbies are the most successful australian franchise. Ha I don't think there is room for many more teams in Sydney. Such a crowded market.

Yeah it would be the same if the Rebels were cut I think Storm will benefit. I am wondering if any of these players from a cut Union side would join the NRL.leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2017 9:13 amIf Brumbies did go (would benefit the Raiders that's for sure)NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2017 5:35 pmI think it is sad for the sport to be cutting teams. If the ACT Brumbies get the boot... I wonder if AFL or the A League will look more seriously at a permanent team in Canberra.
especially there style of footy of late
They have the talent to play league no problems.

Yup with a cap of about 10mil euro which is about 14mil Australian. No doubt you will see this increase with its new TV deal. Japan is also another play to earn to dollar. They don't have a salary cap and all clubs are run by companies.

Melbourne Rebels very lucky if that's the case.

Force have been in the comp for 10 years and the highest they have ever placed is 7th. In saying that some of the South African teams are in the same boat. Only 1 South African team has ever one a super title, 3 from OZ and all 5 in nz. Time for a dump South Africa

Got it wrong AGAIN Fred. The number one sport in SA is soccer. You get it wrong so often your views are irrelevant.
