The AFL went down the slippery slope of playing politics: now it has to explain why it thinks it can tell me I have no right to complain about what my child learns at school!

Wookie, you can't tell me it is not fraudulent to take money for political campaigning when you are a football league.

It's deception. It's straight out deception.

If the AFL wants to get political it better tell me why I can't examine the consequences of policy change in a democracy? For a football league to take my money and use it to campaign for the teaching of gay education in my schools is highly deceptive behaviour and the AFL wants to be careful with their reputation.

To tell me they are for equal rights is not an explanation for why they took my money to campaign for the teaching of my kids of how to be gay in school.

Are the AFL going to take responsiblity for the very curly issue of trangender children taking drugs to inhibit their natural growth and then when they change their mind because they're only schoolkids and realise the can't reverse the process they suicide?

The AFL has got itself into very deep water by getting into politics. The AFL had better start explaining itself as regards to what it actually plans to campaign on with the ticket sales and tv deals because their is a lot of money involved in this and their fans have a right to know exactly what sort of 'business' they are into.

Fred, don't be naive: if the AFL wants get political then it better properly investigate the consequences of its actions rather than campaign for a campaign, with it's war chest of fans money from tv deals and ticket sales, that stands for not letting opponents discuss consequences in a democracy.

Wookie, I am saying the explanation is not good enough for using the fans money to back a dodgy campaign that won't even let consequences be discussed in a democracy.

The AFL can't take money to use on a campaign to teach our kids how to be gay at school and preach mental wellness at the same time when it is known transgender kids are at very high risk of suicide and even higher risk if they are encouraged to take drugs to render their born sexual anatomy impotent and then realise they are unable to reverse the procedure when they change their mind.

The AFL had better get their explanations ready because that is what politics is all about!

I'm still waiting for how a yes vote impacts on what is taught in schools.

In relation to causes... the AFL are involved in a number of causes and social programmes. Domestic violence, Anti racism, promoting multi culturalism, the list goes on including gay pride

Lol yep they attach their AFL name to anything that makes the IMAGE look good

Seems aflcrap that even when the afl do something good it's wrong in your eyes ... simply because it's the afl.

Can't happen in AFL because no gay male player is available to comment ..due to no one coming out

The AFL has lost the plot: if Freddie can't work out that there are consequences to our kids education by changing marriage he is indeed the proverbial blind one .... the fans have a right to know if they are giving money to a political outfit or not otherwise I say it's fraud! Millions of dollars are involved here and I say on fraudulent, and potentially treasonous, grounds!

I'm asking you Buzz to explain how education to children in schools will be different to how it is now? You seem to be quite ardent about this as a fact yet you seem to avoid stating how.

So if the afl supported the end to apartheid you'd be critical of this?
