Check again - St.Kilda have lost the majority of the grown seasoned men through retirement in some cases. The loss of Del Santo to North Melbourne in particular has hurt them. West Sydney made hacks of them in Wagga. I expect Melbourne to beat St.Kilda in round 1. Of course Sydney should win the Battle of the Bridge. I'd watch the Round 2 clash but I won't be home. I'll hopefully listen to it on the radio.

Should St.Kilda lose both games will you admit they are in big trouble?

If they lose to melbs and then gws go shit sure they're looking bad. Still I'm tipping gws to stay in the cellar

Oh gee I don't know about that, Swans! I'm leaning more towards 15th or 16th - as long as they beat St.Kilda in Round 2 of course.

My prediction is that GWS will finish bottom three, bottom 4 at best so it's 15th - 18th.

The truth is it's a flip of a coin who will come last out of 4. That's why I said at best.

Ah yes I see where you're coming from mark. The truth is there is a massive dysfunctional basketcase league smouldering and stinking at the bottom of the AFL's organisational failure to develop an even competition. I agree. However the worst ever experiment in Australian sport, GWS, are at another level of low imo. They should take out last pretty comfortably again this season.

There is no basketcase anywhere in the elite football codes in this country, except maybe the Western Force in Perth.

Well, that's simply not true. Comon now. In 2012/13 GWS were a bunch of teenage pimply boys pitted against men. Melbs were an absolute debacle also. And there were numerous other AFL teams in their league.

2012 was officially stated as the most lopsided in the afl's history. This is because there are numerous basketcase sides.
