All media outlets! How else would we know how far down the AFL is and how far up the NRL is on last years numbers. The main codes will often mention the number in there annual reports.

They get their figures from OZTAM, and add them themselves.

Again, if you can find a report or media release where a network, ratings agency or media outlet have compared cumulative ratings for different programs then show me.

why does my 'theory' have any less value than comparing cumulative ratings given TV network or ratings agencies dont even appear to use cumulative ratings comparisons?

2. a comparison of these cumulative ratings for 2 different programs - you failed to provide that
3. the above to be reported by a ratings agency, TV network, or media outlet - you failed to provide that
